After watching the sunrise at Jones Beach, my wife and I went looking for a cup of coffee and stumbled upon this place by chance. For food, we ordered the BLT to share and a bagel. The staff was very attentive, the atmosphere inside felt warm and welcoming, the restroom was clean, and parking was super convenient. I’d give it 100 out of 10. You really have to come and try it for yourself!

Absolutely loved this cafe and will def be back! Excellent customer service! There’s street parking and if you park further the walk isn’t too bad.

Great food selection and pastries! The coffee and lattes were good we had to get another round when we were headed out.

It spacious to sit for a few and relax, and there’s also outlets if you would like to work/study.

Good music selection too!

I went to The Perk & Press for lunch. The staff behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. I have never been before so I asked what sandwiches they recommend. I ended up ordering the Jamaican Blue, It was excellent! The baguette bread was so good! To drink I had a white peach sweetened iced tea which was very refreshing and delicious. While I was there people never stopped coming in, which to me was a good sign. I definitely recommend trying The Perk & Press and I will certainly be a returning customer!

This café-restaurant is truly an unbidden gem that hits all the marks. The coffee is rich and delicious, and the food is simply outstanding—flavorful, wholesome, and perfect for anyone seeking healthy options. The atmosphere strikes a wonderful balance: lively enough to feel vibrant, yet still comfortable for good conversation.

The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience even better. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Such a cute little spot! Excellent food, service, and drinks!! I’ve always been a huge fan of the Perk’s coffee shop that’s also nearby and when I heard of this place, I knew I had to give it a go. I ordered an Italian Roast pork sandwich and it tasted absolutely amazing. The vibe of this place is certainly homey and comfortable. The price is very good as well. Ordered two sandwiches, two large coffees, and a pastry and it didn’t break the bank. Would recommend this place to anyone who’s in the area and looking for a quick bite to eat!

A great addition to the neighborhood! A great casual lunch spot! Order your food from the amazing menu, go sit down wherever you’d like and the food is brought out to you piping hot! The French Onion Soup was the best I’ve had and the Pequa sandwich has some really nice flavors, just be sure to ask for more red pepper sauce on the side! So yummy and a great atmosphere. Bring your friends or a laptop for some quiet time!

Coffee is everywhere. From the south shore to the north; it’s not difficult to find it. But when you want a good cup of coffee, and I am talking about a cup that feels just perfect, you must go to Perk & Press.

Firstly, each cup feels the closest to being the pure, unadulterated nectar of the gods. A perfect balance of flavor. The ice to beverage ratio is spot on, making me feel as if I am getting the full worth of the drink. I’m not taking three sips only to realize that the vessel is close to being empty. I now dare to compare other coffee places and the amount of ice they toss in. Hot drinks are also flavorful. More importantly, the temperature doesn’t have the same thermal properties as lava or even the sun. It is still hot but it doesn’t make you regret drinking it the second the staff hands it to you.

I must also mention the food because for an establishment that prides itself on their coffee, they have a bountiful selection of treats to make this place a one-stop-shop for all your breakfast (and possibly lunch) needs. The muffins are soft and fluffy, the bagels are perfectly sized with the appropriate amount of cream cheese, and even the donuts look absolutely exquisite! But my personal favorite is the grill which has a ton of options for something more fulfilling. I am privy to the BLT which features a slab or two of bacon with crisp lettuce and delicious tomato. Of course, there is a dressing that pulls everything together. Even the bread option is wonderful. For $2 more (currently) I can indulge in their French fries and knock out every viable section of the food pyramid in a single go. Dare I dream of a BLT and coffee? Constantly.

The aesthetic of Perk & Press contains a rustic style that meshes modern sensibilities with a Soho vibe, delivering a calm and cozy atmosphere that is worth bringing your laptop to. There is plenty of seating and if you wish to eat there, they will bring your food to you!

Finally, I must mention the staff as they are all absolutely wonderful. From who I assume is the manager who has one of the most friendly demeanors I’ve ever seen to the folks behind the counter who are running back and forth, multitasking between the customers and the delicious treats one requests. I have yet to see anyone take my order with bated breath, or release a temperate sigh as I ask for my over-the-top order. The people there have personality and I’ll take that over the fake and insincere compliments I get from other coffee establishments.

There is a reason why I stopped going to traditional bagel places up the road or coffee houses that are backed by large corporate, union busting entities. Perk & Press feels like home except cleaner ‘cause my place is an absolute mess.

Great place for coffee, breakfast, and lunch! Staff is friendly and service was quick. We got the Milky Way and crème brûlée lattes and they tasted amazing. We also split the pequa sandwich which hit the spot. Definitely will be coming back here. Plenty of street parking and parking in the back.

Looove it! It’s another much needed venue business in Massapequa where there are so few places to gather or chill. I must confess that I love both The Grind and The Perk & Press and will go both places.

Conveniently located near a trainstation. The venue itself is well appointed with a variety of seating, including comfy lounge chairs. They’re very efficient & accurate. I never have ti give them instructions how to make a cappuccino ;-)They offer lots of drinks, including alcoholic drinks and both sweet and savory foods to choose from. Of which my family and I have partaken of several of their goodies and loved all of them. Which makes it sometimes difficult to chose what to have.

They keep it neat and clean, which I’m sure isn’t easy. We clean up our own mess and greatly appreciate they provide a nice clean spot for us to sit & enjoy a drink, breakfast or lunch.

Did I mention excellent staff…. well they do have excellent staff who know exactly what they’re doing.
