A nice fancy steakhouse. The staff were all very, very friendly and helpful. There was a mix up on how we wanted our steaks, but it wasn’t a big deal. The flavor of my porterhouse was not the best I’ve ever had, but was still quite nice. I loved the garlic mashed potatoes.

Perfect night! I Went for my birthday dinner it was everything and more ! I had such a fabulous time. The staff gave us a friendly warm welcoming when we enter the restaurant. We were seated in a great area. Let’s start at the beginning of our dining experience at this restaurant on Canon Drive in Beverly Hills. Nah, let’s cut to the end and the butter pound cake with ice cream and epic amounts of whipped cream which is to die for. In between, there is reasonably priced (reasonable for a very expensive restaurant, that is) wine by the glass (a very generous ~8 ounce pour) or bottle, the very cheap but delicious bread serving (obligatory, in my opinion), and the large variety of appetizers and entrees. Although primarily known as a high-end steakhouse – they serve a large variety of cuts of steak – one could order a fish dish or even some appetizers and vegetables without feeling out of place. There is a kosher rib steak offered from The Rabbi’s Daughter if that meets your dining needs. The service is both impeccable and friendly and very willing to modify dishes at your whim. They will explain every dish in detail if requested and will accommodate your specifications as to dish preparation in every regard. Small examples: ordering a half serving of the fries; or, when our plain sauteed spinach came prepared with garlic, they immediately retrieved and replaced it. Who are the patrons: all manner of ages, both visiting and locals, both celebrating a special occasion (it looked like a lot of those patrons) and just out for a good time. When obtaining a reservation at the “Penthouse,” see if you can sit outside in one of the intimate al fresco alcoves. Attire: wear something better than shabby, or come dressed-up if you desire. The pain of an empty wallet will soon be forgotten, but the joy of the evening will linger on.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and we had a wonderful time! First off, the food was delicious. Their bread basket had a wide range of toasts that we ate with various items for our meals. (Didn’t want to fill up on bread but it was so good, I kept picking at it). My favorite was the tuna tar-tar that had a heaping amount of Avocado and a wonderful crunchy bottom that gave each bite a mix of sweet, savory, squish and crunch.

We were invited with our friends on a Sunday night to celebrate their Anniversary at Mastro’s Beverly Hills. The steak was perfectly cooked! Great options of their appetizers, desserts, and drinks.
