I can’t rave about this place enough!! The food was absolutely delicious, the seasonal cider mimosa was yummy, the server was very attentive, the place was very clean!! Did I mention the food was spectacular???
I had the Prime Brisket chili with beans & collard greens with a Ciderboys Seasonal cider mimosa!!! Joe had Brisket, ribs, Mac & cheese & fried okra and the cider.

We had such a great experience at Pedalin’ Pig BBQ in Boone. We came in as a party of 10 on a busy New Year’s Eve afternoon, fully expecting a wait — and honestly, it couldn’t have gone better.
Jordan (Jordan Danielle) was amazing. She was upbeat, organized, and absolutely hustling to keep things running smoothly. She explained the wait time clearly and even made sure someone from our group stayed close so we wouldn’t miss being called. She went above and beyond calling out for a large party ahead of us who just wasn’t paying attention.
When that group finally showed up, they came in with a serious attitude and treated her terribly — to the point of bringing her to tears. It was hard to watch. But Jordan handled it with grace and strength, and the management stepped in immediately to support her, which honestly said everything about this place.
Once we were seated, the food was fantastic — real BBQ, cooked right, and totally worth the wait. You can tell this is a locally owned spot that cares about its people and its customers.
Busy? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

If could do more stars I would! We are all picky eaters and the only thing I can say, this was perfection we were so hungry that forgot to take pictures as an appetizer we ordered the smoked chicken wings with the homemade western sauce we felt like heaven!!! 100% recommended. We order the three meats with two sides adding a 3rd one love the pork belly the sides were out of this world pork beans, potato salad and Mac n cheese everything fresh from scratch. The waiter, Parker made us feel like home! Amazing service and excellent human being! Please ask for him he is the best!

Cool BBQ place. The pulled pork and pulled chicken with the smokehouse sauce were delicious. The baked beans were my favorite side and the sweet tea was excellent. I am picky about sweet tea and this place has really good tea. Definitely worth a visit if youre in Boone.

Though I normally go to the Banner Elk location, I had to give this location of Pedalin’ Pig a try. My girlfriend and I were seated in a timely manner and were waited on by Julie, who was beyond phenomenal. She was very attentive, friendly, timely and had one of the best attitude I’ve ever experienced in a waitress. She has perfected the ability to check on patrons at just the right moment; balancing customer needs with their desire to have a peaceful meal with their families. Our glasses were never empty and she made sure to get us everything we needed. The food was delicious and everything was perfectly to temp. Our tables were clean and the restaurant holds a nice atmosphere.
Overall, we had a very pleasant experience here at this location. If you’re looking to visit ask for Julie you won’t be disappointed!

The brisket was good. I am sure it would have been much better if we didn’t come so late. The Mac and Cheese was delicious. It has a bite to it. The potato salad good. I would eat here again.

We arrived late at night, about an hour before closing. While I understand it was close to closing time, it was not as if we walked in ten minutes before they closed. We waited several minutes to be seated and then another ten minutes before receiving any service. After placing our order, it took over ten more minutes for the food to come out. We were seated where we could see the food window, and my dish—a mac and cheese bowl with pork—sat there for more than ten minutes while the waitress repeatedly walked past it and ignored it, until she finally stood at the window and waited. Once my aunt’s salad was ready, they brought both dishes out at the same time. When I received my food, it was cold, and the pork appeared undercooked.
Additionally, our waitress allowed another guest to stand inside for about five minutes before a different employee informed them that the kitchen was closed. I had been warned that this location was not great, but I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. The final frustration was that they waited until closing time to bring us the check. Overall, the service did not feel deserving of a tip. If you plan to visit Pedalin’ Pig, I highly recommend the location near Banner Elk, NC—the service there is phenomenal, and we always feel well taken care of.
