Over the previous weekend, the weather was absolutely delightful, as summer hadn’t yet reached its peak. It felt like the perfect time to indulge in some exceptional cuisine and top-notch service at the renowned establishment known as Peasant & the Pear. Upon entering the restaurant, we received a warm and friendly welcome. Although it had been years since our last visit due to the distance, I initially had some trouble finding their new location. Nevertheless, we were eventually seated at a beautiful table outdoors. Our experience was further enhanced by a fantastic waitress who assisted me in selecting from their updated menu offerings.

Cute place. Stopped by for a bite when I was in the area. Pork chop was delicious but a little overcooked. Plate presentation was amazing. Served lumpy potatoes with the pork chop which was amazing.

I cannot say enough about Rodney worse. He is a well-known chef in the Danville area during the pandemic he had to close a few of his restaurants so my husband and I would frequent the peasant and the pear as often as possible. It is by far one of our most favorite restaurants, so good that I know I should try other restaurants but I just crave going to Rodney’s place. He is a great community contributor as well. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich.

Great spot in downtown Danville! Went here for my husband’s birthday and they were so sweet to us! They had a few vegetarian options to choose from. We got the pear-topping pizza which was unique and different, more on the sweeter side, and a pasta. Both very tasty! Finally, they brought out a piece of chocolate cake to surprise my husband, where the restaurant gleefully joined in to sing happy birthday. Overall, pleasant experience 🙂

One of the best restaurants in Danville. On the recommendation of some friends my wife and I came here for our anniversary and had a wonderful meal. Seating on the patio is perfect on a warm evening. While the prices appear a little high, it’s worth every penny. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. I’ll definitely be coming back, although will probably save this restaurant for special occasions.

I haven’t been here in years but WOW, things are so good! The new location is right in the heart of Danville downtown, taking over the previous pizza place.

Amazing! We had the cheese fondue for an appetizer. I had the most incredible meatloaf, my table mates had the lamb shank, pasta and Flatbread pizza. Everything was incredible. We tried 3 different desserts, each was fantastic, although the cheesecake was the winner! Great birthday dinner.

Great spot in downtown Danville. Local and locally owned. They accommodate large groups and have a variety of different items that everyone will like. We had a gluten free, vegetarian, and everyone was happy. They have a full bar and lots of parking, great spot for an adult night out.

Went for happy hour, ordered the pulled pork sandwich, small caesar salad, and the cheesy garlic bread. The pear quesadilla sounded interesting so we got it too. The pulled pork was good overall, salad was good, lots of cheese. The cheesy garlic bread we wished there was more garlic (didn’t really taste it) and the pear quesadilla we wished had a stronger pear taste, you could see the slices though.
