Swung in here for some lunch. Walked in an d the ding area is HUGE! I had the Bird Bomb and the Mrs. had the Santa Fe burger. My sandwich was really tasty and cooked perfectly and I ordered fries for my side. The Mrs. said her burger was great as well. The prices were fair and all the food running out of the kitchen looked great. The wings are served whole here too btw. I’d definitely come back here again.

The BLT sandwich here is so good! Hubby gets it with a fried egg, I get it with avocado. Be warned, the triple stack BLT is huge! There’s so much good stuff on the menu, but we always come back for the BLT. Have had the wings and Mac ‘n cheese. Sweet potato fries are also yummy!

Picked up a carry out order: Mozz sticks, Tenderloin w/side of onion rings and horseradish sauce. Mozz sticks laughably small and somehow taste like, nothing? The tenderloin was dry and chewy, and the horseradish sauce also somehow managed to taste like, nothing? Maybe this was an off night but not sure how this place gets such good reviews. Waste of money.

Peanut is a KC institution. Famous for their chicken wings some folks even favor their sandwiches. If searching ‘bar & grill’ this should be near the top.
Sure, the atmosphere is better at their downtown location but this is an easy to get to location in the Northland (off 64st & I29).

We had a large group on 2/12, and the service was first class. Our server was spot on with everything from professionalism, courtesy, very pleasant and thorough. Oh yeah, the food was fantastic and competitively priced. I will visit again. Highly recommended!!

I have to say second time here and this time, I had the special tacos. They are really good. I got the deep fried ones. 2 chicken 2 beef. They are 3.00 each on Thursdays. So yummy!
Also they really are great about letting you eat and chit chat. I have been places that we felt in the way and rushed if we lingered. BUT both times our lunch was great and our conversation amazing so we definitely lingered. The waitstaff today was so great. And the to go order right before we left was out so quick I really thought it was a mistake! It is a bar with sport screens but on the speaker is a variety of music that was entertaining while I was waiting. Oh and they are one of the few places that serve Mr Pibb and not Dr Pepper!

My first time at The Peanut and I was impressed. Love the atmosphere with the older bar signs and it has a long old bar as a signature item. Our server was amazing and friendly. We had the chicken wings, buffalo chicken slicers, Mac and cheese and a BLT and everything was very good. Anytime I’m in the area and have time to stop by I definitely will make sure The Peanut is one of my stops.

Good food when it comes out right. Awful customer service. Ordered wings. They take 25 minutes to make. Order came out wrong. They offered to bake the sauce off and redo them. I asked for them to do it the right way knowing it would take time. No offer was made to make amends. Not a discount, free appetizer. Just a sorry. So they took the incorrect wings and my cheese fries away. I sat there while my family ate. And now I am stopping at wing stop on my way home. Incredibly disappointed in The Peanut. Every bad experience is an opportunity to wow the client. They literally made zero effort. It was just an offer to wait 30 minutes for new wings. I understand that mistakes happen but they literally didn’t seem to care. Still tipped the waitress good. She was great.

The Peanut Restaurant has always been a go to for me. Very reliable and consistent. Whether friends or family coming to town or hanging out watching sporting events. The food is above average for a neighborhood bar. The wings are second to none and the blue cheese dip is the best in town. I strongly recommend.
