First time into Pauper’s Pantry today and was so beyond amazed. The whole restaraunt is so cute, decorated and painted beautifully. The service was superb, we had Andrea and she was very personable and attentive. I had the caramel machiatto, the garlic chicken sandwich (a special today), the stuffed pepper soup, and a pumpkin whoopie pie (to go!). Everything was delicious, left us happy dancing in our chairs every bite. The prices on top of everything else were beyond fair. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend this Fitchburg gem.

We traveling from Minnesota to Boston and north to Kennebunkport. This was a great restaurant. The food was fresh, homemade from scratch and the staff was so friendly. We had Andrea as our waitress. She was delightful. If we ever come back this way, we will surely stop in again.

An absolute gem right in the center of downtown Fitchburg! We were very pleasantly surprised by the well thought out atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and the food was quite impressive. The chef created a menu that speaks to many diverse tastes and a discerning palate. We had the steak frites, cooked to perfection with a reduction that was like a light gravy which accented the meat very nicely. The short rib fries were also outstanding! We can’t wait to get back to try more from this creative menu. Andrea, our waitress was fabulous and knew so much about the menu items, she did a great job with her descriptions and recommendations. Thank you for taking great care of us, we felt special ❤️

We arrived around 6:30pm on a Saturday night. We did not have a reservation for the two of us but were seated promptly. We enjoyed the 80’s background music and bright modern atmosphere. The menu is unique and diverse. You’ll find something for everyone. Cozy, delicious and relaxed dining experience. This is a hidden gem on Main Street in downtown Fitchburg. Everything we ordered was amazing. We’ll be back!

Swung by this establishment driving out of VT. Glad we found it. It’s a quaint little diner that can get busy. The portion sizes are awesome. Everything was cooked to order, and we went in for brunch. Had a couple of breakfast potatoes that were undercooked but that’s not really a big deal. I guess they’re known for their cinnamon rolls, but all the bakery items looked good.

Passing through on the interstate, I chose this place after reading about the owner’s dedication to feeding hungry people, regardless of their ability to pay. I would always rather support those who support their communities, but this restaurant goes further and checks ALL of the boxes by also offering excellent food and genuinely caring service. Andrea was incredibly attentive and kind to my little one, and the chef’s refreshingly creative take on comfort food was exactly what we weary travelers needed on a cold January night. We will be back, and would recommend to anyone and everyone. Food for the belly and for the soul!

Stopped by The Pauper’s Pantry for a coffee but the “Braised Short Rib, Garlic Cheese Curds, and Poached Eggs Drizzled with Demi Glace & Hollandaise on Garlic Bitter Grilled English” Benny, said to me, “Stay and enjoy this relaxing environment. It’s time for some amazing food.” I was unbelievably satisfied with my meal. If you are reading this looking for a place to eat this is the place to go.

The best thing about this restaurant is the service, super friendly, helpful and professional. The menu offered a range of options to please many. All the dishes sound delicious. My FIL loved his Angus burger and fries. My husband’s and my dishes were more mezzo. The peppered filet were 3 small pieces and was cooked medium rather than medium rare so was disappointing. The fresh pasta was fresh but was cooked passed al dented so softer than preferred. The gorgonzola Alfredo sauce was great though and salvaged the dish for me. My husband got the steak frites. The steak was more tender than the filet in my dish but it was also cooked medium rather than the requested medium rare. It was cut in small chunks and was rather bland. They did not have steak sauce so I had it with mustard. The smashed garlic potatoes were very tasty and different, which rescued that dish. Atmosphere was ok, a little cold temperature wise. Decor was lacking. There were 2 cute areas in the front that were raised which had cozy chairs that was very quaint. Overall a solid 3 stars. Great in concept with potential with improvement. Their breakfast menu looked great so we would likely come back to try that since there aren’t many brinch places in the area.
