Having come from a long heritage of Butte coal mining family I had high hopes for a legit pasty. I will give very good reviews for r the crust, it was legit good and fresh! The filling was potatoes and cubed beef (roast). The beef was tender, but bordered in pate texture. The potatoes were almost mashed potatoes. I do think there is a lot of potential for upgrades— maybe some chopped onion, celery, carrot? My biggest issue was the level of salt in the pasty and then the gravy was pure salt. I would have liked to have a tomato soup option instead of just gravy. The side of coleslaw was about 2 bites — didn’t seem to have any vinegar? I had excellent service and the price is great considering the serving size!

So good. The perfect takeaway handheld food. Would be great for any college town, but unfortunately you can only find them near mines. Also worth noting, surprisingly these didn’t upset my somewhat gluten-sensitive stomach. Went back the next day for more.

Keeping the Butte tradition alive with great pasties. We really like the mid-sized ones for family events. We’ve had good luck with just waking in and grabbing a fresh dozen or two.

Best Pasties we’ve had in a loooooong time. The small cocktail size was perfect for me and my mom to share a dozen. My husband and son both got the big ones. All of us had some left over. The gravy is homemade and just as delicious. It is where Nancy’s used to be. The new owner is so sweet. She gave us a cocktail one to try. We were hooked. Definately a place we will go back to when driving through Butte again. We sat in our lawn chairs on the grass in front to eat ours for lunch.

I’m from out of town, so I may not be the best judge of the taste of the food, plus this was my first pasty. I had a class over at MT and the instructor ordered the pasty meals for a noon lunch break. The food arrived at 1230 and was not even warm. The pasty itself was HUGE and would normally be two meals for me, but it was REALLY salty. A couple of other people in the class also commented on the saltiness… both the pasty and the brown gravy were too salty for me. The cole slaw was fine, though. If you like salty food, this may be perfect for you!

As a guy that grew up with pasties I can say without a doubt these are by far the closest ones you’d ever get to that homemade and had crafted feeling. Every time I have one it reminds me of my mom’s pasties and I just love em. 10/10 absolutely recommend them

The party pasties were not very tasty. The dough not flaky, hardly any egg wash. The pasty them self all uniform, as if the came off convert elt, mass produced. Very disappointing

Absolutely SENSATIONAL pasties! These pasties have it all! The crust is incredible, meat is flavorful and the salt level is perfect! The gravy is nice and thick and packed with flavor, and the coleslaw is delicious .Locally owned and operated by a lovely Butte couple, too. The prices represent incredible value. Being born and raised in Ireland, I have a special love for pasties, these are the best that I have ever had.
