I’ve been married to a Yooper for 44 years. So I’ve had my share of pasties. I’m usually not a fan of the traditional ones with Rutabeggas but this place has excellent traditional pasties. And they even have gravy which I think all the places should have. It’s fantastic with gravy instead of ketchup.
Prices are reasonable. Yes, the fries are different than traditional french fries but I thought they were quite tasty. They have an imaginative variety of different flavors for their pasties. Anytime I’m in a mood for a pasty, I would come back here.
I ordered the 15 ounce pasty, but the 8 ounce would’ve been plenty.

Seriously the best in the UP. The variety is amazing and so is the taste. Out of town guests are treated to these every time. And they always love them. Prices are reasonable, especially considering how much food is costing nowadays. High recommended. Very niiice

August 2024 – came here for lunch and my wife said the family has to try a Pasty. Glad we did! First off the lady working the counter was very sweet and caring. They do have a drive thru and one bathroom. Overall the Pasty was awesome. I ordered the chicken, small and regretted it. I should have ordered the big one. I wanted to order more for the road. I believe my wife ordered the original and we also got the pizza. My 8 yr old daughter loved them so much, she wanted another one to go. We also got chicken strips and fries. We also ordered the pasty Mac, and that was really good too. Overall a very good place to stop and relax.

Wide variety of pasties as well as other menu items. Fish sampler had cod, walleye, shrimp, and a type of corn fritters. Served with coleslaw and choice of potato. Miners dinner special was choice of pasty, Cole slaw, a cookie and a drink. Very unique atmosphere celebrating the Yoopers and pasties.

We went there yesterday and was served French fries that looked 2 days old served on a plate that just came out of the microwave. It was so disgusting we left and refused their service. My husband and I had a running tummy after ingesting a few of those fries . The waitress offered to make free fries, that was ridiculous cause that’s what she should have done in the first place. U wonder what the pasties who have been served like . Don’t eat there .

Stopped here during a recent roadtrip and so glad we did. I ordered the large classic pasty with rutabaga, my wife got the small. They were hot and ready and perfect! Easy to eat and super flavorful. One of the best things we ate during the trip!

This place makes the world best pasties !!!! If your looking for something like Grandma would have made (or Auntie in my case), this is it. I usually have ketchup with pasties I get elsewhere, but these do not need ketchup. They are simply awesome all alone

The food was great but the person behind the counter was rude and very grumpy. My wife walked in and the employee yelled at her accusing her of being door dash. My wife said she just wanted to place an order. All the employee did was complain about her working conditions. According to my wife the employee was complaing about someone coming to the drive up. We support local business but my wife does not want to go back and be yelled at by employees.

Had a traditional with rutabaga. Very tasty and filling. We were on motorcycles, so ordered through the drive up window and ate on picnic tables. No inside seating due to the virus.
