We visited “The Pasta Place” tonight on a recommendation. It is an Italian eatery on East Main Street in Willow Springs MO. From the outside it appears to be an older house, converted into a restaurant. Inside it is roomy, with tables and booths and outside seating. I would say the inside feel is “homey” and the dining area was clean and nicely decorated for the season.

We started off with a salad for my wife and minestrone soup for me – with breadsticks. They were not unlimited like OG but both were very tasty. One slight drawback on the soup – it had been heating for quite a while and the pasta was really soft.

I played it safe and went with spaghetti and bolognese (meat) sauce. When it arrived, I had two meatballs added to my spaghetti (a misunderstanding by our server). It was very good but I didn’t care for the meatballs (I’m just not a meatball person). My wife tasted them and pronounced them “very good”. I asked for parmesan on my spaghetti but the server forgot (In her defense, she was waiting on a large group.) I saw someone at another table that had the Baked Rigotani and it looked very delicious.

My wife had the chicken fettuccine, which she said was exceptionally good. The chicken had a different flavor than any other she had tasted in fettuccine but still delicious.

The parking was offstreet, somewhat limited and could use more lighting. (The parking is shared with the business next door.) Also, it may be my eyes deceiving me but it seemed like the wheelchair ramp was a tad steep.

All in all it was a good dining experience with the feel of an old “Mamma Mia – Pappa Pia” ristorante. We plan on returning!

Hands down the best experience I’ve had in willow springs. The food itself is home made & very delicious (noodles, soups, sauces all home made). The owners are very polite and friendly. Gave us some free food to take home to try and it genuinely felt like family being there. Best experience 10/10

Such a wonderful experience at this precious house! The owner treated us to a bowl of soup a piece. The food was absolutely amazing! Recipes handed down from generations ♥️♥️ This is a must if you are an Italian food lover. We will definitely drive 45 minutes to have her food again.

Exceeded my expectations for a small town trattoria! Charming ambiance. She has worked to overcome every critique since opening, and the food just keeps getting better. Today our group had baked manicotti, eggplant parm, spaghetti & meatballs, tortellini, shrimp scampi. Everyone was delighted with their meals. Bread sticks were a universal favorite! Oh, and the tiramisu is delicious!!

We have eaten there twice now! We will make this a regular on our list. First visit, we had the chicken parm and spaghetti&meatballs. Delicious! Second visit, we had the rigatoni and chicken Alfredo. Oh-my-word! The Alfredo sauce was to die for!!!! I wiped the sauce off my plate it was that good! Each meal comes with a big bowl of salad and some breadsticks. The owner/chef herself will bring your food out to your table after she has cooked it. She is wonderful, the food is superb for this small town with not many options!!!! And…. We tried the tiramisu today…. WOW!!
Give this place a try, you’ll leave full and happy ♡

The service is amazing and everyone was very friendly. The food was delicious, I had the manicotti. I had to take a to go box home because of the generous portions. They do serve gluten free and alpha gal options too but be sure to ask. Our server forgot to tell us until after we had ordered. They also have non Italian options for the couple who can’t agree on a place to eat ;). Owner is an Italian married to a Missouri “hick”, was the term I think he used, so they serve pulled pork sammiches and things like that.

The trio of Italy was delicious we split it and glad we did so much food several people could eat from it. Minestrone soup was superb. The ambiance is old school with Sinatra music playing. They even stayed a little after closing for us definitely going back again.

Three of us had our birthday lunch together there and one of our husband had a cake delivered from the Ozark Sweetest Bakery and the restaurant staff pulled out all the decorations and candles to make our birthday celebration so wonderful for the three of us! We were so surprised and treated so well. It was a lovely afternoon with good food and fun. Thank you so much for the service and wonderful food.
