My husband and I enjoyed our new dinner experience in TWA Hotel’s Cafe Paris.

Their medium salmon on a bed of spinach and potatoes was fresh, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
My husband’s chicken with a few slices of artichoke hearts was also satisfying although the portion looked a bit small. Their crispy French Fries is very good but their price is stiff. They serve a good complimentary focaccia bread with olive oil and, at my request, a big cup of hot water in lieu of iced tap water.

The ambience is nostalgic. Service is friendly and food was served promptly.
With our JFK volunteer ID, we were given a 15% discount.

We explored the hotel’s roof where there is a steaming hot swimming pool and a view of planes taking off and landing although from afar.

Their conference and meeting rooms in the 1st floor have wide red-carpeted corridors and there were red-tiled walls.

Not far from the stairs to Cafe Paris is a free TWA picture booth by the men’s room. There is relaxing piped-in music!

I live in the Hamptons so we stay at the TWA Hotel frequently when we have an early flight out or a late return in so we’ve frequented the Paris Cafe as well. The food is fine. For a Jean-Georges restaurant it’s a little disappointing. For instance, on our last visit the aubergine on the vegetable pizza was undercooked and under seasoned, the roasted cauliflower is nice, we always enjoy an order of fries. Overpriced for what it is but the only option at the hotel (aside from a very mediocre food court). The TWA Hotel ambiance is great, if you want to go the Paris Cafe I suggest a cocktail and fries, fun for a layover too.

Worst food in the area. If you are heading to a flight, youre better off eating in the airport. If you’re arriving, go literally anywhere else that’s not here. It’s insanely overpriced and the food is actually terrible. I got the rigatoni because I assumed it was hard to mess up pasta. But they managed to! Watery, and the meatballs were 100% pork which I feel should have been disclosed on the menu since it’s very unusual. The appetizer bread was stale. The only decent thing was the fries and the tap water.

Had a great experience here. Ordered White Russian, filet tenderloin, ice cream. My girlfriend got the chicken. It was one singular 6oz chicken breast. Seared well, just small I thought for $40. View was amazing. Service is a well oiled machine. No heat there DRESS warm. All glass and very drafty in February obviously! The potatoes for the steak tasted like they were a potato pellet base, or dehydrated potatoes they add water and butter too. They were okay. $60 for a 6oz filet and instant mashed potatoes I thought should’ve been upgraded or just do bake potato. The White Russian was perfect! The salted Carmel ice cream tasted burnt, vanilla was great! All in $255 for 2 people, 2 drinks, 2 entrees and side of French fries. Tip options they only give you 20%,25%,30%. Walked right in no wait. Loved the open concept kitchen. Chefs did well!

What an amazing hotel and dining experience. The architecture is stunning, and the period appropriate music really completes the atmosphere.

We had dinner here after checking in and liked it so much we came back for breakfast the next morning. The crispy salmon sushi was a standout after a long travel day, the pizza was creative with a great New York style crust, and breakfast was excellent, especially the perfectly cooked and seasoned hash browns.

One small question: my girlfriend absolutely loved the uniquely shaped coffee cups used at breakfast. I noticed the owner responds to reviews – would you happen to know the brand or model? I’d love to get her a couple as a reminder of our stay. Thank you!

We visited in May 2025. I would recommend this place. We had a long layover. A local told us about this place. We walked over here with all our luggage in tow. The restaurant is inside the TWA hotel. The hotel is cool in a retro way. We were able to store our luggage under the counter. There was no wait for a table. The wait staff was super friendly. The food was really good. The pizza and salmon sushi were my favorite. Even the salad was excellent. We spent a few hours eating and drinking. Watched a wedding take place in the lobby. It was a fun experience versus sitting in the terminal. There is also a plane in the back of the hotel that they turned into a bar.

Visited again September 2025 on my layover at JFK. Good to see some of the same faces again. I ordered my pizza and salmon sushi. Everything was tasty.

We had a fantastic time at the Paris Cafe. Jewel, the server, provided exceptional service and made our dining experience enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed my burger, which was delicious. Recommended if you have to stay in NYC JFK!

The TWA Hotel is awesome and worth visiting, but Paris Café was a letdown. The rigatoni and meatballs were overcooked, and overall the food was just okay. The wine was expensive and didn’t make up for the mediocre meal. I expected more from a Jean-Georges restaurant. Cool vibe, but I’d skip eating here next time.

Beautiful retro future vibes continue here from the rest of the hotel, and the food is definitely passable and sometimes even tasty, but the price isn’t justified for what you get.

When we sat down one of the glasses at our table was filthy and I swapped it with a clean one nearby.

Cocktails are obnoxiously sweet unless you ask them to tone it down. Menu posted downstairs may not match what’s upstairs depending on season or time of day – but it’s generally too horribly crowded (maybe there’s a reason?)

I’m giving the rest of the TWA venue a glowing 5 star review, but the cafe is a real weak spot. It feels like there should be a higher tier dining establishment for such a large hotel with so much history and… space available for one? Maybe? Odd for sure.

$300 sweaters downstairs are a…. Not great sign. They’re cashing in on the immense retro future charm of this place. It’s costly to run, for sure- but with the prices being paid, the quality should match, no?

First time at the Paris Cafe but second time at the TWA Hotel. We had such a fun, lovely time and our dinner was great. We had the tuna tartare for an appetizer, shared a nice Caesar salad, salmon on spinach, mushroom risotto, and warm chocolate lava cake, topped off with a very nice Cakebread chardonnay. We celebrated our anniversary before going off on a trip to Seattle. Our guy is Karma. Professional spot on service. All the staff there and at the hotel were welcoming and great. Plus, you just can’t beat the iconic history and music vibe here. We’ll be coming here again!
