We are a small bakery located in Lenexa, KS that is woman owned and operated. We enjoy creating unique desserts and pastries as well as one-of-a-kind custom designer cakes. At The Pantry KC, we pride ourselves on collaborating with and supporting other local business. Chef Dee graduated in 2015 from the New England Culinary Institute, one of the most world-renowned programs in the country. Dee has worked at The Omni at Mt. Washington in New Hampshire and The Little Nell in Aspen. Most recently Dee was the Sr. Pastry Chef at the Sheraton and Westin Crown Center Hotels here in Kansas City. Dee’s creative treats and beautiful designs got her noticed by the Food Network and she was invited to compete in the 2018 Spring Baking Championship.

We used The Pantry KC to cater our brunch-themed wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made! Dee was absolutely lovely to work with. She is welcoming, vivacious, and knowledgeable, and we felt that she truly cared for us as clients. My husband is also Australian, so he really connected with her Welsh background (similar food profiles). She gave great suggestions to match our vision and explained how everything would work logistically. Our guests loved the food–especially the cinnamon rolls, which we had in place of traditional wedding cake! We look forward to returning to The Pantry KC for a memorial anniversary treat.

This is the cutest little bakery in lenexa! I went here at the suggestion of a friend’s father and couldn’t have been more surprised by the quality of everything in this shop. They have both savory and sweet options, but the sweet options are definitely what you should come here for. I had a strawberry tres leches croissant, the frittata, and coffee. Everything was delicious. I hope more people go to The Pantry KC in Lenexa so that it doesn’t stay a hidden gem!
The staff was also incredibly friendly and it seems like they have a lot of regulars already. A number of people told us that they come there every weekend. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area!

I don’t even know how to start this review other than saying how amazing The Pantry KC is. Dee and her husband are some of the kindest people with some amazing baking skills. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting The Pantry for a good breakfast on the weekends and working with them to cater the dessert for my wedding. Both experiences have been out of this world. When we visit for breakfast on the weekends, the variety of goodies available is huge and sooooo tasty. Im sad I only started visiting in 2022! As for them catering for my wedding, what a GREAT experience!! Dee was so responsive to my emails and I never felt stressed picking desserts or going over the details. She delivered an amazing assortment of desserts and everything was delicious and beautiful. I had so many people ask where the dessert was from. Can’t recommend The Pantry enough for casual eating or catering!

They are open Saturday and Sunday to the public from 8-3. They owner is kind and so passionate about her goodies.
I had the cream cheese raspberry cruffin and OMG so good. The sugar on the outside, the layers of buttery dough, and the cream cheese. Great Saturday treat.
Also got the breakfast sandwich on a croissant. The egg was runny, the thick bacon was crispy but not over cooked, and the CROISSANT!!! It is everything I want in a breakfast sandwich.
I wanted to try everything so I will be back for cookies and scones with English clotted cream.

The Pantry has very quickly become my go to breakfast and dessert location. The food is amazing and very clearly created with love and care. The coffee comes from a local roaster and is so delicious and smooth. Today I learned that they make breakfast burritos, and they are easily the best breakfast burritos I have ever had. I found this lovely shop by complete accident one day, and am so happy I did. I cannot stress enough, everyone who enjoy sweets, breakfast, or even just a cup of coffee has to visit The Pantry at least once in their life! Keep up the good work!

We used The Pantry KC for our October 2024 wedding after discovering Dee from Spring Baking Championship years ago. We have visited her bakery multiple times prior to trying her wedding tasting box and deciding that she was who we wanted to do our cake. She made a delicious carrot cake with cream cheese frosting that was beautifully designed based off of different ideas I had presented her alongside our color scheme. The cake was decadent and everything I could have hoped for!

We found The Pantry KC when Dee was on a season of Spring Baking Championship and after visiting her shop a few times, decided we wanted her to make our cake for our October 2024 wedding. We wanted a one-tier round cake just for us to cut at the ceremony and Dee didn’t disappoint! The cake looked awesome and was everything that my wife and I could have wanted. While the guests didn’t get to enjoy the delicious carrot cake at the wedding as we had provided other desserts, we got to enjoy it afterwards and it was incredible. I’d definitely recommend The Pantry KC if you’re looking for someone to make your wedding cake!

A friend and I are on a quest to try all of the amazing pastries that KC has to offer, one patisserie at a time. The Pantry KC is the real deal. Beautifully made, delicious European pastries and desserts that have been our favorite so far in our journey. The cruffins are the absolute perfect blend of flaky/soft with several options of fruity creme in the center. I also picked up 3 flavors of scones, all of which are delicious. (Browned butter peach, Blueberry, and my favorite, the butterscotch) The shop is very clean and adorably decorated. They have a small seating section if you choose to stay and eat, but most people opted to pick up and take home. Highly recommend!

Yesterday, we had the joy of visiting The Pantry KC over in Lenexa, Kansas! If you haven’t been here yet, you should make it a priority to get over there and indulge in the wonderful bakery goods they serve up daily. We ended up going with the cream cheese cruffin, the lemon and blueberry “pop-tart”, a double egg crossandwich, and sugar-free vanilla iced latte (also a pre-packaged container of Russian tea cookies with walnuts – but haven’t tried those yet!).
The pastries were super flaky and buttery, and the fillings were perfectly balanced. The crossandwich was well seasoned and the buttery croissant was ridiculous. The gentleman that helped us was very nice and helpful which is a huge plus. We cannot wait to go back and try more!

We love to support local! The Pantry is locally owned by an extremely talented baker! We popped in today to try them out & left with 8 different items-oops! 🙂 Get a Cruffin-they are a little heaven on earth! The scones are divine. Jalapeno cheddar is the perfect amount of savory. I didn’t get a picture before we dove in to taste everything. I can’t wait to go back!
