This place is a gem….. It’s set in a beautiful neighborhood with an amazing view of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree ( if you sit by the window). The service is top notch and the food is something too be desired. Everything is made to order and all ingredients are very fresh from the proteins to the veggies right down to the very sauces that are made. We left happy, full, and amazed at how we were treated and how beautiful the restaurant was. We’ve found our new go to place for Indian food. Update 1/22/22 We did a take out order and our food was really good. The naan that they make here is delicious! We had the onion naan and there is more to choose from. The coconut chicken, the Chile chicken, the lamb samosa all were excellent. The palak paneer is so full of flavor and our food was served with basmati rice. Thank you for your wonderful food!
Update…Sept 2021… Recently did a takeout order and the food was really good. Ordered cheese naan, vegetable samosa, paneer Tikka masala and my new favorite…the Daal Making…delicious!
This restaurant is new to East Passyunk Avenue and we recently had gone here for dinner. We were greeted by our server, Riaz, who was very helpful in answering our questions about the menu. The place is clean, the food is delicious and we plan on going back to try other dishes. We had a crisp bread served with 3 sauces placed on our table. The sauces were amazing. We ordered the veggie samosas, the chicken curry, the butter chicken and the lamb korma. It was served with basmati rice and we also had the garlic naan. Everything arrived hot and was delicious! We opted for the rice pudding and the gulab jamun for dessert. Really, really good.
11/18/23. Went with my son for an impromptu dinner. We had chicken korma, butter chicken, palak paneer and the best freshly made onion naan. The food and service is excellent. Thank you so very much for a delicious dinner!
Most recent visit 9/21/24…I had always wanted to eat in the patio of the palace of Indian. It was so very nice. The food, as usual, to me, is so very good. Fresh, and full of flavor. We shared a vegetable platter, chicken Shahi korma, lamb tikka masala, lamb karahi, palak paneer and onion and garlic naan. The portions are very generous, the food is fresh and has so much flavor. I especially love their onion naan and palak paneer…it’s absolutely amazing. Thank you, Palace of Indian, for a most enjoyable meal!

This has been my favorite neighborhood restaurant for years. Go-to orders are the samosa, tandoori sabzi, and chana masala. When the weather is nice, BYOB on the patio is fantastic. Tastes like home cooking – no fuss, just good food.

The Palace of Indian was excellent. It is also BYOB. While it looked like takeout is popular here, the dine in experience was great. Service was fast and friendly. Water glasses were constantly refilled. The food was really good quality and nice portion sizes.
I also really appreciated the high quality of things like the tables/chairs, it felt like a higher end dine in experience.

We just finished dinner here and it was excellent! The naan was so fluffy- the best I’ve ever had. Lamb Korma- yum!! The staff was very kind- we were a larger party asking for a lot of things and they happily accommodated. This restaurant has seen a few different iterations in the past few years; here’s hoping Palace of Indian stays!

Outdoor patio and BYO! Great spot for Indian cuisine and the servers are always nice and attentive. The patio out back is a hidden gem on Passyunk Avenue for anyone wanting to enjoy some quiet outdoor seating. Picture is from the patio.
