This was possibly one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever experienced and we travel A LOT! We lived in Red Cloud and frequented The Palace almost 30 years ago and it was a great place then. Traveling through, we stopped in and were “greeted” —told to sit at any place we could find something clean—by an extremely rude woman. She was exceptionally rude throughout the entire experience! Couldn’t even give us enough menus-had to share-when she came back and told us if we didn’t put our order in it would be a long time before we got food—sharing a menu, we hadn’t had time to really decide, rolled her eyes when asked questions. Slammed things on the table as she ran by. Got our order wrong but flopped our plates down on the table and ran away so quickly we couldn’t even mention it to her. We were not the only ones to experience this treatment-she spent the entire time yelling at customers, rolling her eyes at any question, and just generally being rude. The food was ok—a bit flavorless but did come out fairly quickly and the prices were relatively reasonable but we were informed by another patron that our server was one of the owners…she should really work on her customer service skills and general manners if she wants to remain in business long!

Robyn and Terry are wonderful, hard-working business owners that have been so gracious to me the past couple of years that I have visited Red Cloud. I look forward to eating at the Palace every year and highly recommend it.

Food was good, service was even better. Was expecting an old school bar & grill but the inside is decorated with a lot of guitars and rock band memorabilia that doesn’t really fit the outside appearance. Needs to go back to the old school bar & grill look, but it was clean.

Great food and very nice owners. The owners work hard, cooking, cleaning, and serving – they care about the Palace. I always enjoy eating here!

Have been twice. Food cost way too much for the quality, and one time was free. Imagine a $12 sirloin, cooked wrong, and charged $20. Saddest side salad I’ve ever seen. Lol. Server bragged about breaking up the owner’s marriage??? Oh. Kay? Gotta love Red Cloud.

Always Good home cooked food. Multiple lunch specials everyday. They do a prime rib night too.
