No more driving to SD location. We were really pleased when we found out about this location. We ordered Chiang Mai style with shrimp, and Boran style with chicken. Both were tasty and delicious. We ate them right at that location. We know the place is more for take out, but we didn’t want to wait. I have some leftover that enjoyed later at home. The noodles consistency were still good.
If you like pad Thai, this place is a must for you.

I’ve been here twice now since they opened and it’s so delicious! I get the southern style with chicken and it’s packed full of flavor – I love the addition of the coconut cream. Definitely go try it if you like pad thai. There’s minimal seating inside but I think it can seat maybe 6 or 8.

Had the tofu pad Thai with southern flavor profile. Asked for medium spiciness and it was indeed a good spicy level. Flavors were good and what I expected. Would recommend for those who enjoy pad Thai.

I used to travel to the San Diego location so I was supper excited to see them opening up in San Marcos. This place remains my favorite pad Thai place by far, they have different flavor options based on different regions of Thailand. The southern flavor is by far my favorite, most flavorful and fresh pad Thai ever!! They also have a pretty nice vegetarian/vegan version if you have dietary restrictions. Not much seating there, so be ready to take out if needed. Highly recommend, please give them a try!!

Wow – excellent pad thai here !!! I ordered the tofu in mine and it was delicious. The portion was enough for two meals. The price and service was awesome as well. Highly recommended!!!

I previously gave this place a glowing 5 star review. I’m a long time supporter of the pad thai stand (Oside market, and SD location).
However this location has been mostly negative experiences. Twice I’ve driven here on my lunch breaks only to find it closed during the listed business hours. The food is inconsistent. I usually get southern style with complete ingredients and the resulting meal may or may not taste like coconut depending on what the new trainee cooked. Yesterday was the last straw. I heard the cook call and ask her manager (wasn’t even there) if they were out of tamarind sauce while preparing my meal. Sure enough, when I got home to finally eat it there was none in the pad thai. It was horrible, dry, and bland.
How can you serve pad thai without a key ingredient and expect the customer to be happy? No heads up, no warning, no alternatives offered. Just gave me my food as usual and mentioned nothing.
At near $40 for 2 dinners this is unacceptable. This location has lost my business after many failed opportunities.

the food was great!! i think i will definitely get it not spicy as mild was too spicy for me but that was my own error. the person at the cashier’s stand was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable on what regions each thai style was from.

The pad thai was delicious, as expected. my wife and I came for the soft opening. Some of the menu wasn’t available yet, but they assured us everything would be available in the coming days. We had the southern style pad thai and the central style, medium spice each. They were both excellent and distinct from one another. If you like The Pad Thai Stand’s other locations, you will be please to find the same quality of food and service here. If you haven’t had the chance to try them yet, go ahead and give it a shot.
I’m glad they are finally here in North County!
