This place truly stands out when it comes to burgers. The quality of the food is excellent and you can tell a lot of care goes into every order. The flavors have that classic, comforting taste that reminds you of traditional American diners, making the whole experience feel warm and nostalgic.
The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and clearly take pride in what they do. Customer service is welcoming and attentive, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. The building itself is spacious with plenty of room to sit and relax, creating a comfortable spot to enjoy a great meal.

A short drive to Topeka today to enjoy The Pad. Everything was delicious! The burgers were juicy and flavorful. Great fries and rings with homemade ranch! Chocolate malt was amazing!!! Worth the trip!

The good: the service was fast and everyone was friendly. It was busy but we didn’t stand in line long and after ordering, our food came out quickly. The reasoning for that may not exactly be a good thing.
The bad: the food unfortunately. I had a 1/2 lb cheese burger and added bacon. I also got the curly fries. My wife called them ghost fries as they were as pale as such. There was zero seasoning of any sort. In my picture, you’ll see salt. I added every bit of that. They were cooked, but I would have liked some more cook time to give them some crunch. Wouldn’t have altered the flavor however. The burger wasn’t terrible. It’s beef. You taste that. No seasoning on that beef. That can be good if that’s what you like. I told you I got bacon, but I had to Sherlock Holmes the burger to find it. When I did, I pulled one of the small slivers off. It was dang near transparent. There was very little of that bacon and clearly that particular hog was anorexic. Overall, the burger was just…eh.
I saw reviews of this spot, 4.5 stars from over 1800 reviews. I guess I don’t get it. Nice folks, but man, the food is just bland and the toppings lacking.

For several reasons we will not be back. The place was packed with almost no place to park or sit and eat. I figured that was a good sign and also was asked to wait 10 min for my tender basket, again I thought that was a good sign. When food arrived I was extremely dissatisfied as the tenders were nothing more than nuggets. Cheese balls were almost too hard to eat and appeared to be cooked hours before. Fries were tasteless. Waste of money and time. Go to Wendy’s next time for better food and service! Don’t let a busy place fool you as it isn’t always a good sign. Maybe the old people went there for nostalgia reasons?!? Absolutely worst place!!

Drove by this place a number of times and I finally had to give it a try. Good variety of items and everything was made to order. Had a burger and large onion rings. Wife got a pork tenderloin and large fries. Everything was pretty good. Fries were nothing special though. If you want a good burger, check this place out.

The fries were cold and crunchy. Not the good kind of crunchy either. I would hazard a guess that it was because they weren’t busy and they had been sitting there for a while. The burger was good though. Because we didn’t dine in or do this as a picnic date, we are keeping it on our bucket list so that I can try a meal instead of us sharing one.

My husband used to work for Pepsi years ago and always says The Pad has the cleanest kitchen he had ever seen when he’d deliver Pepsi to restaurants. The workers are all very helpful also.

First time visiting. Staff helped me figure out the what to order for the best experience.
Food was of an authentic old time burger food place. They had yummy pie and cake as well like an older dinner.
Salad bar was fully stocked and kept looking clean.

Purchased the all you can eat salad bar tonight and when I asked if they were going to refill some of the empty spots, the employee rolled her eyes and said she would. Went back up 5 minutes later and still empty spots where the dessert pudding was supposed to be. When I asked she advised that they didnt have anything for those spots and they weren’t planning on filling them back up. This was 520 pm when the dinner crowd hadn’t even arrived yet. Such a waste and definitely not worth the $11.00 that was spent on the all you can eat salad bar.

OK when ordering through drive thru the workers voice is not clear, we ordered meals that were to come with fries and we ordered onion rings as well. They screwed up by including 1 fry this happens a lot because they only hear what they want to instead of getting the order right.
