Such a cosy little gem! Incredibly friendly service from the moment we walked in. The escargots are an absolute must-try, so flavorful and they pair perfectly with their amazing bread. We ordered the duck gnocchi and the filet mignon, and everything was delicious. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium-rare just as we requested. Overall, a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

More than just food, an experience. I enjoyed all of it. We sat by someone that has returned there for YEARS for her birthday just to enjoy the food. The waiter was professional, kind but also made us feel comfortable and confident in our ordering. Chef prepared with love, from Appetizers to Desserts.

Very disappointing. We have had great meals here in the past, but at our most recent visit, the food was not well executed and the service was poor. They do a good job of sourcing local ingredients, but the problem is in the execution. Our mains were served cold and my husband’s salmon was overcooked. The portions were small, which would be ok had they been better executed and/or at not such a high price point. They also seem to have a problem with stocking liquor/wine. We were told there was told there was no “cocktail menu” and were served the house old fashioneds, which were much too sweet. They also did not have many of the wines listed on their wine list, with the only ones remaining in the $100 range. Sadly, it ended up being a very expensive and very mediocre meal.

Oyster & Thistle at La Conner Inn is nothing short of a pearl in the heart of town, a true shuck-cess when it comes to fine dining and warm hospitality! This local favorite masterfully blends elegance with a cozy, inviting charm, making every meal feel like a special occasion. From the freshest oysters that taste like a briny kiss from the sea to dishes crafted with the finest local ingredients, each bite is a testament to culinary artistry.

But let’s talk about the bartender, an absolute maestro! With a deep well of knowledge and a knack for crafting the perfect pour, service. He doesn’t just serve drinks; he curate experiences. He is very knowledgeable! Whether you’re sipping a classic cocktail or an inspired house creation, you’ll be whisk-ed away on a flavor journey and a whole new world of knowledge worth toasting to.

At Oyster & Thistle, expect five-star flavors, impeccable service and an ambiance that’s as smooth as a well-aged whiskey. So, if you’re looking for a dining experience that’s o-fish-ally extraordinary, this is the place to be!

I didn’t even pull out my phone to take pictures because the setting felt so intimate; you just wanted to sit there and enjoy it. I’m really grateful Duane answered the phone when we were down the street at another restaurant that just wasn’t our vibe. Getting a table here completely changed the feel of our New Year’s Eve.

They had a special holiday menu and everything was absolutely delicious. The whole experience felt warm, relaxed, and special without trying too hard. If I’m ever back in this town, this is definitely a place I’d come back to.

Went last night for the first time and it did not disappoint. We had the duck gnocchi and filet mignon and both were outstanding! Delicious flavors all around.

Lovely little pub-style restaurant, with creative food – but very overpriced, and we waited an extremely long time for the food. Our server was also the bartender – he was gracious and made us feel at home. We’ve eaten here a couple of times before, and had always enjoyed it. However, currently the prices are excessively high, compared with similar dishes at comparable restaurants. Every choice of wine on the menu is extremely expensive – why couldn’t they include a few modestly-priced choices? While our server was great, it took forever to get our food, even though they were nearly empty… All in all, we don’t expect to ever go back.

Went to the Tulip festival, then decided to get some lunch and I’m glad I came across this biblical treasure. The food here is absolutely amazing (so, good it’s sinful) from the courses to the desert, they cannot do no wrong. In addition, the waiter who is also a phenomenal bartender, knows how to make unique drinks well mixed cocktails just by saying the type of alcohol you want. Definitely coming back soon.

Something changed. Cocktail prices were $18 each. The little window nook now has a frosted film over it now, which we felt negatively impacted the warm ambiance that was previously there. There’s talent in the kitchen, but the value isn’t there given the portions. Really wish there was a way to view the changing menu online. Can no longer recommend.

My husband and I are locals in the area and have been there several times. If the restaurant is going to stay in business you cannot expect the Bar Manager to run the entire operation. We had one drink which were good but…….my husband’s Manhattan, we did NOT call any special liquor, was $23.00 WHICH was unheard of! My friend and I had an espresso martini, which was also $16.00 each. So three drinks $53.00. We had three appetizers and two beet salads $95.00 THEN they had the nerve to charge us $6.50 for 4 small rolls which were needed with the appetizers dishes we ordered.i have been coming to this restaurant since 1985! Granted the food was good. The prices were over the top ridiculous! YOU LOST A LONG TIME CUSTOMER LAST NIGHT.
