The Oyster Rock Waterfront Seafood is the best seafood restaurant in Calabash. Want to try truly great Calabash style seafood? They’ve got it. Something more upscale or simpler? They have it all with stunning views (watch Pelicans soar) and a beautiful waterfront view. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A perfect dinner.

We were a party of three, and reservations are definitely a must! I booked more than 24 hours in advance and the only options for a Saturday night were 4:00 PM or 8:00 PM. We were seated on the patio with a beautiful view of the Calabash River.
Our server, Matthew, was excellent—attentive, friendly, and he kept my tea glass full the entire time. We were given complimentary house-made chips with shrimp dip, which was a nice surprise.
We ordered onion rings to start, but they had more breading than we prefer—totally my fault for not asking more questions ahead of time.
For dinner, we had:
• Grilled chicken with garlic mashed potatoes
• Broiled scallops with seasoned fries, hush puppies, and slaw
• Fried oysters with the same sides as the scallops
We asked about the size of the scallops and oysters and were told they’re done by weight—12 full ounces! The servings were huge, and the food overall was very good.

What an amazing night . There was 9 of us together. We had Jeff as our server , he as able to joke and laugh with us as we bantered back and forth . He was truly such a nice guy and on the ball with everything. We had a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. The presentation was beautiful and great portions .
We recommend coming here and enjoying the atmosphere, water views and amazing staff.

The experience was outstanding! A huge thank you to our bartenders, Miranda and Michelle, who truly made the evening special. Miranda crafted amazing drinks that were perfectly balanced and delicious, and both she and Michelle were incredibly knowledgeable about the dinner features and offered great recommendations. Their friendly personalities and attentive service created such a welcoming atmosphere. Exceptional service like this deserves recognition—thank you both for a phenomenal experience! Our first time! Definitely will not be our last time. We made our reservations that morning. We started off with the oysters, Rockefeller for an appetizer. Perfection! Exactly how oysters Rockefeller should be. Creamy, cheesy baconYy. We both had their chicken and shrimp Alfredo special with collards on the side. It was absolutely delicious! Served with a wonderful slice of crusty, garlic buttery bread. They serve homemade chips with old bay seasoning and a shrimp dip to dip them in. Delicious. The restaurant was packed but service not lacking a thing. I was very impressed that they have staff working as a team. Empty plates were scooped up immediately. Drinks refilled immediately and we have the best server. Jessie was awesome..

It is Thanksgiving week so they were crowded and we did have 10 for dinner with the service and food was still excellent. The photos I’ve attached will show the portions were substantial and I can tell you that everyone has a smile on their face. I had the calamari and coconut shrimp appetizers plus the he-she crab soup, which was outstanding And served with a tiny shot of Sherry, which made it very special.

Celebrating a birthday today, and it was our first time here. We both ordered off of the special menu. We couldn’t have been happier with the Swordfish with a lobster cream sauce and the Carpetbagger (filet with scallops and shrimp with a mushroom cream sauce). My scallops were melt in your mouth perfect! Our server Lawanda was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

We had a group of 7 and sat on the outdoors when it was chilly out, but the heaters made it very nice and toasty, great job. Before dinner we hung out in the oyster pit out back. It is all decorated for Christmas so very nicely. Our server was just great and the food very good. So many off menu special choices that some of us got, like Elk and a Ribeye. We started with some oysters on the half shell and the escargot. Delicious! I Know it’s a seafood place, but the steak is had was large and delicious. I brought half home. My wife had the tacos on the menu and that was the only disappointment if the night. The fish was very dry. Other than that, the meatballs dish, Fish and the Elk was excellent. Recommend a reservation during prime times.

Best restaurant we’ve been to in Brunswick County. Everything made fresh, all 6 of us loved our meals. Service was excellent, server was so knowledgeable. The elk, seabass and grouper specials were the top favorites. Atmosphere was clean, modern and not noisy.

Everything about this place was absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere was great. The food was even better and the best part of all of our lovely waitress Lawanda. I would recommend this to anyone in the area. Absolutely the best meal. I had all trip!
