worth a drive. Of course, Chuckanut Drive itself is known for an excellent driving course offering majestic views of the ocean.
It is a small restaurant with a romantic vibe. You don’t have to enjoy the raw oysters as there are plenty of dishes without them. The service is excellent. We ordered a special lingcod and house-smoked salmon sandwich. The lingcod was delicious with only light seasoning to bring out the freshness of the fish. The smoked salmon was too salty for me.
Favorites: Swinomish Petites & Kumamoto – sweet, delicate, and beautifully balanced.
The others leaned brinier with a stronger “taste of the sea,” perfect for those who enjoy bolder flavors.
We also ordered the Butternut Squash & Chanterelles soup, which was silky and slightly sweet — the perfect balance to the oysters’ salinity. Paired with a glass of white wine and the ocean breeze, it was simply perfect.
The restaurant itself is a classic Northwest lodge style: stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an outdoor terrace wrapped in greenery with sweeping cliffside ocean views. At sunset, it’s absolutely breathtaking .
Sitting on the terrace, watching the sun paint the ocean gold while the salty sea breeze carried the aroma of oysters, I was suddenly reminded of a dinner once in Malibu, perched above the Pacific.
It made me realize — what stays with you isn’t just a restaurant, but the rare feeling of stepping outside the everyday and sharing a meal with the sea and sky. From LA to WA, the sense of romance feels timeless.
Lorrian was or Waitress she was so kind and very descriptive with information on the menu.
Wow is all I have to say for the food. I had the duck breast and it was incredible. My husband had the steak and lobster and it was perfectly cooked.
The gnocchi made me have a flash back when my grandmother cooked it.
What a delicious and wonderful evening.
I just have to say they have a phenomenal chef like incredible.
My only say would be the music does not match the wonderful atmosphere (Jack Johnson several songs and playing 60s oldies music, again like his music, but wrong environment)
The French music was nice, but my only thing was the music was not enjoyable for the atmosphere.
