The Oyster Bar is certainly its own experience but is a great one. The food is all made to order and they have daily specials. Our server was amazing and she was able to answer all of our questions and give recommendations. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy. Luckily the table next to us was very friendly and we had some great conversation with them. Certainly a place for special occasions and great fish.

We couldn’t say enough great things. We had legitimately probably a once in a lifetime experience here. The food was FANTASTIC, not even a single half complaint! The service was excellent, we were VERY well taken care of by not only our waitress but the bartender and owner/chef as well. He came out a handful of times to chat with us and even broke out a swig of bourbon for the boys from a fancy box! We were treated far more than we’ve ever experienced, and it was super special having my honeys kid there to experience it as well. She said it was the best meal she had ever had, and my significant other and brother said the same! Hands down the BEST dessert I had ever tasted. He said it was his great grandmas recipe and it was delightful, not sure what it was called tho! The treats kept coming with this visit. We had never been before but we will most definitely be back! We felt like royalty, and the kiddo loved the chance to meet the chef! They made a deal, when she’s 21 she can go back and they can share a swig of the good stuff! Lol! We can’t say enough positives about it! Thank you SO much oyster bar and staff for such a special experience!

I stopped by the Oyster Bar for dinner, and it turned out to be my favorite restaurant in Fort Wayne. There’s a ton of history in this place, and my server, Madison, was nice enough to tell me about it. She did an excellent job, and I really enjoyed my meal. I was able to sit at the bar right away, and I enjoyed a meal that lived up to the place’s name. I tried their oysters Rockefeller and casino, and both were delicious and decadent. The two oysters on the half shell I tried were fresh and tasted of the sea. It’s a very classy place, and it makes for a great dinner. I’ll definitely come here again next time I’m in Fort Wayne.

My husband, son, and I had the pleasure of dining at Oyster Bar tonight, and to say we left more than satisfied would be an understatement. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and hospitality.
The food absolutely blew us away! We sampled a little bit of almost everything, and each dish was incredible. The recommendation from our server, the scallops, was probably one of our favorites. They were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. You can truly taste the quality and care that goes into every plate.
The service was just as exceptional. Chef Tony went above and beyond to make our son feel comfortable and happy, which meant so much to us. He truly has a way of making you feel right at home.
We’re not from the area, but if we’re ever back, we will most definitely be stopping in again for another amazing meal with an amazing staff. Thank you again for such a wonderful dinner!

Giving two stars because the oysters were good but the wait staff is terrible. Went for our 7th wedding anniversary and waited 30 minutes for bread a water. We ordered two orders of oysters and our waitress brought us two oysters. Took her 20 minutes to return to our table and apologize and after that she was very cold towards us. She didn’t acknowledge us again until she brought us a bill. Had to ask another waitress to correct our order. So in total we were there 50 minutes and got served 2 oysters and bread and water. We had to ask for our drinks after that. The two tables seated after us got all of their items before us. The tables are super close together making it uncomfortable. We kept joking we were apart of everyone’s conversation. We skipped out for another place to eat to salvage our evening. Wouldn’t suggest and we won’t be back.
Edit: my husband and I spent all evening and night getting sick..definitely got food poisoning from here. Avoid this place.

We go to The Oyster Bar almost weekly as our Saturday date night location. The food is always amazing and the staff is polite and very attentive. I’m originally from Texas and they serve the best steak I’ve ever had here. The oysters are delicious. Sometimes I just get a large bowl of the clam chowder as my dinner. The restaurant is small, but feel very homey and warm.

Came here to celebrate my friends birthday and it didn’t disappoint. We didn’t have reservations and we were lucky enough to have gotten a seat, and I mean lucky because it IS tiny. Like I opened the door and promptly closed it because I thought it was the wrong door as it opened to dining patrons not a hostess station. I had never had oysters before and was hesitant BUT they were really good. Everything we had was amazing, the appetizers, entrees, desert and cocktails. The place also has a rich history which is awesome. I would for sure go back and be tickled pink just sitting at the bar. I say if your on the fence, take a chance, cozy up and dive in.

My Valentine took me here for our dinner. Appetizers, Crab Cakes and Calamari w/Lemon Drop Martinis to drink before dinner.
I had Seafood Au gratin and a baked Potato. My guy had the Grouper I think….The Food was Amazing, the Atmosphere was Amazing…the People sitting on either side of us at the Bar were hilarious, what an all around great night. The staff, that little Madison Maxwell, she was an Amazing Bartender/Server, she really knew her stuff…as well as all the other staff….working very hard and it looked like everyone was having a great Valentine’s Dinner. Make your Reservations for Valentine’s early. We made ours a month ago and had to sit at the Bar, for that 5:00 time slot….not that that was a Bad thing….cause we had a blast….the couple to the north of us sitting at the bar….we had already gotten in our car, they were behind us and as he walked past our SUV he Bared his Big ol Belly and hairy chest…. He ate a Steak the size of Texas….LOL no we didn’t know him. Thank you for the great Memories Oyster Bar. I will Always come Back to You…..Oh and we love you too Chris Gleason.

Not our cup of tea. It is an incredibly small space with tables jam packed everywhere. We love intimate dinners but this was too close for comfort. We came here because of Savor Fort Wayne. We thought we would try somewhere new. The bread and the dessert were amazing but everything in-between was sadly lackluster.

My wife and I love this restaurant, highly recommend the Crab Cakes and fresh Oysters. We try to make it here at least once a year and it never disappoints. Tony the Chef/Owner is hitting it out of the park with an amazing menu, and fresh ingredients.
