Myself and 7 others went to their soft opening hands down a 10 out of 10! My daughter is extremely picky with food and the owner was very accommodating! The Oxford sauce is an absolutely must try! Staff is extremely kind and very knowledgeable, owners are very welcoming. The atmosphere is perfect! I cannot say enough great things about this place!

The service was amazing throughout the entire experience. They were welcoming, kind, pleasant and caring. All that said the food was even better. Starting from the baked plantain with guava sauce to the New York Strip that melted in your mouth. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy another wonderful experience. Don’t miss out!!!!

The Oxford offers an unparalleled dining experience, excelling in every aspect. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting ambiance sets the stage for what is undoubtedly one of the finest culinary experiences I’ve had in years. The menu presents a diverse selection of expertly crafted dishes, each plated with precision and bursting with flavor. Complemented by a thoughtfully curated wine list and an impeccable attention to detail in both presentation and décor, The Oxford stands out as a true gem in the dining scene.

I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. The food was so outstanding that I barely paused to take a photo—every dish was simply incredible. Beyond the cuisine, the owners, staff, and talented chefs exude genuine passion and hospitality, making this restaurant a true standout in the industry.

Had a fantastic night out at The Oxford in Branford, CT! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff provided great attention to their guests.

We started with a couple of appetizers, which were fresh, flavorful, and a perfect start to the meal. The highlight of the night was the Oxford Burger—perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was delicious, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into their ingredients and preparation.

Beyond the food, the location itself is great—comfortable, stylish, good vibes. an excellent dining experience. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Where to start lol. My friend and I went in last night for dinner. They sat us at a table for 2 and we decided to grab drinks and order apps. They told us we had to order all of our food at once. No problem, so we did but asked if we could move to a bigger table bc there wouldn’t be enough room. Our waitress said she would ask, slammed her hands on the host stand, rolled her eyes and pointed at us. Ultimately said no and offered us a high top (my friend is in a leg cast) despite the fact a bigger table of normal height was available 2 tables over. All apps came out very close to one and other and sure enough, there was insufficient room on the table. Meanwhile, two girls had walked in and sat at the larger normal heighted table (which is fine just annoying).

The food was comically flavorless. The spicy edamame tasted like nothing. Not even salt. There were 2 pieces at the very end which were spicy. Chicken bao was dry. Pork bao was juicy, well cooked but flavorless. Coconut shrimp bao was extremely coconutty (thank god bc that was the only flavor we had) shisito peppers, ricotta board, seared tuna and watermelon salad were all fine, but each seemed to be lacking spice/flavoring.

The pasta flight was why we went. The first pasta was pasta and squash. It tasted like straight pasta, with pasta water sauce and regular squash flavor. Lacked butter and literally all seasoning. The second one was a bow tie pasta in crème sauce. A little better but still very bland. The third pasta was rigitoni w tomato sauce. The sauce tasted like ketchup. It was honestly comical. We were hoping that there would be a coconut dessert on the menu as that’s where they seem to know how to add flavor and were disappointed and got the affogato which was good.

At the end of the day the bill was $240 after tip. Safe to say we will not be back.

I came here on a Friday night with 4 of my girlfriends and we were really looking forward to trying this new restaurant that has such great reviews online, we all left confused, disappointed, and with no intentions of returning. It is very cozy inside, perfect for winter, and the drinks were great, but that’s where it ends:

1. The drinks took SO long to get to our table. Usually this doesn’t phase us because we’re talking, catching up etc, so when we actually feel and notice how long the drinks/food is taking, know that it’s been abnormally long.

2. We were talking to our server about appetizers, which ones to get, which ones we were thinking about etc…a lot of back and forth, a lot of debating (server was very helpful) and then when we finally settled on what we wanted he goes, “The kitchen requests you put in your appetizers and entrees at the same time.” Sir, you could have started with that so we didn’t just waist 10 minutes of everyone’s time. It was very apparent we hadn’t thought about entrees yet.

3. We ordered the brie with honey appetizer (picture attached – keep in mind the two strips were also very thin) and the portion was so small, It was borderline insulting. I couldn’t keep a straight face.

4. I ordered a burger, medium rare, it came well done.

5. My friend ordered the seared tuna, she tried it, it had a strange taste, so I tried it, and unfortunately couldn’t eat it. It was bad. We politely told the waiter, repeatedly said it was not a big deal blah blah blah, the waiter leaves (without taking the dish away) and comes back to say, “The chef said he just took it out of the package.” Another laughable moment. The manager did eventually come out and right the wrong, which we were thankful for.

Overall, the food/portion sizes were very underwhelming for the price and drinks and aesthetic can’t make up for that.
