We were passing through so we decided to give this place a try based on the reviews.
It was busy when we arrived but we were able to grab a table right away. The decor was rustic. We ordered and paid at the counter and they brought the food to our table.
We ordered three pick-two combo. The sandwiches were average. The chili had way too much chili powder as that’s all i could taste. No one finished their chili because of it. The Italian chicken trio soup was too acidy. The corn muffins were cold. I think they would taste better if served hot.

This is such a great place to come and grab a bite to eat while strolling around Owego. I really like their soup and sandwich combination. Last time I was here I got the chili with ham and brie sandwich… It was marvelous.

Stopped in for a quick bite while driving. They had gluten free options and vegetarian options as well. The roast beef horseradish sandwich was great, and there is a good selection of desserts! The mixed berry pie was delicious! Nice salad with fresh ingredients. Free street parking but it does fill up.

I absolutely loveD this place. Coffee WAS on point. It’s been awful. Twice I’ve been here and the food is not good. Today, the coffee was cold and not flavorful like normal. Muffins sit out become hard, unimpressed. Got this gnocchi soup today (11/11/25) it was not cooked properly. The pees and onion were not ready for eating. HARD and basically raw. Ordered the Leo. USUALLY AMAZING… cheese was sour and the syrup in the bread was not it today. $17 for a couple bites for me and the rest in the trash.

I love this place. They are not open for dinner, so sometimes I plan ahead and pick up food to go. The maple melt is one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches ever. The baked goods, such as muffins and cookies, are delicious. I’ve also had their yogurt parfaits and overnight oats, which are amazing (but they don’t always have them). The staff and owner are courteous and efficient. They’re always posting specials online that look amazing. They also carry a nice variety of beverages. My friends and family love their iced coffees (I don’t drink coffee). For vegans, the hummus wrap is really good. If you don’t want your bagel toasted or your bread toasted on a cold sandwich, you need to request it (the menu does not describe these items as toasted).

Pretty busy for around 11am on a Friday. I order takeout. Ask the the cashier what she thought was the best, she led me to the Breakfast Burrito ( One of the best I’ve had hands down). Also order there Brisket Breakfast Sandwich Special and the Orange/Berry muffin. Everything was really good. Definitely recommend checking it out.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The food was delicious. We live an hour away, but if we ever find ourselves in the area, we’d definitely go back!

An old building in heart of owego. I really enjoyed breakfast here today, ham breakfast bagel. Wife got breakfast burrito. Not as good but it was feel in mouth, not quality. Just not my thing. I really enjoyed coffee. Would go again. Expensive compared to place like dolphin, but they were packed and I don’t like that atmosphere. Bothers me a little they pressure for tip up front, but I guess that’s now. I liked it a lot overall.

Outstanding lunch experience. The sandwiches and chips were delicious. I had the horseradish roast beef. The 4 of us eating agreed it was a 5 star experience. Fast service, great food, and delightful atmosphere. I have eaten breakfast there and thought it was a limited set of choices. However, our lunch experience was superb and exceeded expectations. You cannot go wrong eating at the Owego Kitchen.

Food was decent but a very good breakfast selection. This place offers counter service like a deli. Nice vibe but wouldn’t go here for breakfast again
