To be fair I went on a short day I think a Sunday and it was after lunch buffet.
No one was in there and they had not cleaned up yet. I ordered over the phone and picked up.
I ordered A 3 meat beep dish. So my review is solely based on that pizza.
If they cook in a brick oven, which I was assuming they did then is somewhat understandable why the pizza was burnt in spots because it may be hard to cook a deep dish pizza in a brick oven where you can’t really adjust the temperature and you only can adjust the movement and timing . The pizza was good nothing wrong there, but the taste was not within my liking the tomato sauce tasted a little too zesty for pizza to me. Of course, I had a lot of sodium because of the meat which was expected.
Only one employee came out to give me my order and take my payment. She was kind, but she was short with her words. No complaints either way just really no interaction. Like I said it was a short day and I probably came in towards the end. the pizza was $30 plus a tip probably around 37 bucks Not super unrealistic considering how heavy the pizza is because of all the meat and cheese that has to go on it so pricing seems fair overall would give this restaurant a 3.5 just based off the taste and enjoy ability of that deep dish pizza.

We specifically drove to Owensboro from Ohio to go to The Oven, We can’t say enough good things about it the greeting we received to the owner sitting and talking with us. Just completely enjoyed our visit I would definitely return If we lived in the area & we would be a frequent customer. We had pizza which might I say was fantastic! As well, we had a salad, actually a half salad and it was large enough to share loaded with toppings and just fantastic! We look forward to their new location opening and we would like to visit

Fantastic and delicious pie – crust is thicker yet perfectly “airy.” Very little grease and fresh tasting red sauce. Fun to briefly meet the owners as well since it was a quiet afternoon on Veteran’s Day. Absolutely try it!

I had the loaded salad, bone in wings, and personal pizza. I liked the ranch dressing and it had all kinds of toppings in the salad, it was very enjoyable. The sweet chili sauce on the wings was very nice, just wish the wings were fried more. They had no breading which is the way I like it. The pizza was alright it could have been cooked a little longer, it had very thin dough bottom and not crispy. It was not a thin crust pizza. I wound not mind eating there again and trying more things.

My son is a student at KWC and we were in town for a quick overnight visit. We went to The Oven for dinner and we will definitely go back! The pizza was phenomenal, the meatball sandwich was delish and I highly recommend the salad! It was loaded with lots of goodies including chicken and bacon!

This place is super sketchy. I admittedly did not stick around long enough to even order. We walked in, and were not greeted by anyone. A worker came out of the back and just stared at us then walked back into the back. There were two people sitting in restaurant,neither of them eating. One had an unlit cigarette hanging out of his mouth. They both just stared at us. We did not feel safe whatsoever.

I cannot stress enough how amazing this restaurant is. Me and my boyfriend try a new restaurant every week because we have so many hidden gems here in Owensboro and we love trying new places and The Oven was the place this week. It was a little hard to find a parking spot but it was so worth it. This was by far the best pizza and breadsticks I’ve had in a long time, and it was decently priced. We got 2 drinks, a large pizza, cheesy breadsticks, mushroom bites and ice cream and it was only 35$. This place definitely deserves more hype and appreciation. The workers where also super friendly and made a very nice atmosphere. 11/10 would recommend this place to everyone.
