Besides the 1 hour and 45 minute wait for our food, the service was terrible. Catfish was to bad to eat and I found a long long brown hair in my honey mustard. This place was definitely a disappointment and did not live up to its reviews! The staff was not friendly and acted as if we were a burden along with the other 25 customers they had waiting on their food. I would not recommend The Other Place In Alva, Ok.

I’m a waitress and the staff did not make you feel welcome and seemed to be poorly trained. Food took over hour to come out and was loaded with pepper and salt. My server would not make eye contact and to avoid conversation would grab glass to refill and come back and run off. Would not recommend going back.

I ordered an 8 ounce filet and asked for it to be cooked medium. the piece of meat I got was about the size of a quarter pounder from McDonald’s. My business associate ordered the NY strip and it was full of fat and gristle. He could only eat about half of it.
We mentioned this to the manager. I got a $3.18 discount off a $50.00 bill. We won’t be back.

Great food, it’s a new restaurant and they’re still getting a system down, that should be noted. I’d give it a try, it’s not overpriced and it’s probably the best restaurant in town.

1st time eating here and was truely disappointed we ordered the chicken fry thinking it was going to be a fresh breaded chicken fry and all it was was a frozen piece of fake meat deeped fried way to long, they were out of white gravy so i got the brown and it was the worst tasting brown gravy that smelled like alchohol.

I was surprised to learn they served Bangers and Mash but DID NOT serve Guinness. Very disappointing. The service was good and the food was good.
