The service is the worst I’ve ever had at the op. It used to be our goto whenever we went to Mason. Half the table had empty drinks from before our food made it to our table tell the time she finally came back when we got our check. I love the home made chips. This time they apparently ran out of potatoes because my side of chips was a small child’s handful of crumbs that I did not touch. Our server was all about the tables around us just not us for some odd reason. So it’s going to be pastabella door a long time before I make my way back to the old place

Pizza was very good with plenty of toppings. Wish they would let you do “half and half” on specialty pizzas as I really wanted the grinder pizza but my wife is more of a plain peperoni and sausage type eater.
Service was excellent, had an “older” waitress (+25) who was able to answer our questions concerning some of the special drinks and how they tasted and were prepared. Service was a bit slow but being close to a full house they did quite well.

I got a lasagna and it was badass! I’ve had this preparation in different countries and is by far my favorite Salad was excellent!. The batter on the fried mushrooms is amazing our waitress was really keeping us happy (forgot her name). Come here! You won’t regret it

Nice atmosphere with a spacious dining room. Service was friendly and attentive. Portions are very large. The pork tenderloin is gigantic and delicious. The lasagna is a unique recipe and is also great. Good location on the main road off of the interstate so drive past the fast food places and go here instead.

Wow! This a a place that knows how to do food right! Nice portions too! No wonder this place is hopping all the time! I had the half pound burger, my wife had the 5 meat 9″ pizza. Saw the deluxe nachos, wow, that’s a two people deal. Pork tenderloin was huge! We’ll be back!

We’re just a couple of out of towners passing through Iowa. That’s when we stumbled upon “The Other Place.” Deceiving name if you ask me, nonetheless we still decided to give it a shot. Not bad! Mediocre American food perfect for your road-trip lunch stop. My Texan friend got the Longhorn. He said that “there wasn’t anything very longhorny about it, it just had bbq sauce… that was the extent of its texanness.” Then again he said that “Texans aren’t very well known for their burgers.” Fair enough. My friend and I shared a 12” hot honey bbq chicken bacon ranch pizza. After two slices we were full, granted we already ate a lot of beef jerky beforehand. The crust was thick, the cheese was heavy, the sauce was present and the chicken was chicken. Yummy! Glad we stopped in at this fine establishment.

A nice big space with great staff and a wide variety of menu items that has never disappointed. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food that you get. Plenty of options at the taps if you like draft beers.

Big RANT to the OP for cancelling at last short notice on the Sunday brunch at 10am.
I spoke with someone yesterday afternoon and she said they changed the hours to 10 am-2pm
I got uo just to go to the brunch, stood outside 10 minutes along with 3 other car loads waiting, it was 10:25, no doors opened to find out they cancelled the brunch on short notice.
Omfg!! Seriously Clear Lake, get real!!!
No one wanted to get out of their warm bed to come into work, how very sad this is.
