New to the area and was told that this place has an all you can eat shrimp dinner on Friday nights. Went there and it was a small but friendly atmosphere. We had the all you can eat shrimp and the blue gill fish dinner. See photos of the all you can eat shrimp with German potato salad and cottage cheese. And the blue gill dinner. We will go back to try other items on their menu.

I was there for a fish dinner last week. My baked potato was luke warm so warm that I could hold it in my hand. I took it up to the bar where the waitstaff/bartender was, I presented it to her and told her that it wasn’t hot. She came to the table with another baked potato held in her hand. I gave it back to her because she was carrying it in her hand not on a plate. She grabbed a knife sliced it open and stated that it’s steam coming from it. I told her I didn’t want it, for one she handled it in her bare hand not on a plate, then she grabbed a knife from the bar sliced it open. I was not happy with this person handling my food with her bare hand and she never did bring a different potato to the table after bringing it from the kitchen in her hand and not on a plate.

1st time at The Other Bar,Very Busy place so crowded and Loud. Food was good but served Luke warm. The Server was pleasant and attentive,she took the food back to be reheated,no problems after that. Food had good flavor. If you are in the area stop by.

I do not normally post reveiws; but this was so bad I am giving the owner or manager a chance to know what happened. Tonight; a Friday; I placed a to-go order for two fish frys and a pizza. Showed up at the appropriate time for pick up to find out the pizza I ordered was given away to another to-go. They did not take my phone number so they could not let me know. They did however recognize me as about a month ago I had placed a to-go order where a pizza I ordered was 86’d and again with no phone number, could not let me know. To one young bartender’s credit, after happening tonight she did say, “maybe we should start getting phone numbers with to-go orders.” I would suggest it. They did cut the bill and give a coupon for a free pizza. Get home and on one fish fry, they made the wrong potatoe; and on the other; they burnt the potatoe pancakes.

Walked into a packed bar and still got prompt, friendly service. This place has great food and excellent service with a warm, friendly atmosphere. Char gave us the all-star treatment and we appreciate her sense of humor immensely!!

A bar that has a tasty fish fry with many beers on tap. A small place that is best to hit before rush hour. Had the 3 piece haddock and fries with Mobcraft Vanilla Waffer porter. Yum.

Had pizza there with my son & his wife. They spoke very highly of the pizza. So, we came over & tried it. He did not lie, it’s very good! One thing remember to tell bar staff not to cook it till cheese is golden. Just alittle before that so cheese is still a whitish color. Very, Very Good though. Oh, the bone in chicken wings are awsome also….

The food is good, depending on who serves you, also depends on the wait time of your order. Prices are reasonable. If it is crowded the atmosphere of the noise seems to bounce of the walls like an echo effect that’s not pleasant. Overall I would recommend the special hot beef, pork, or turkey. mashed potatoes, and gravy or the burgers are amazing.

Drove by a couple of times on our way 2 brandon meats. Always had cars and had a lakefront neon sign. Best move i made in months. Really great walleye and greman potato salad. My wife had perch and pankes. Raved about the pancakes. A few lakefront pints, and we were back on the road home. Service was great , clean,

My only rub was beer could have been
Colder and the on tap menu was on a small tv screen that was hard 2 see unless u got up and stood by it. Plus their are people sitting right there. A simple print out of all the tap and bottles saves everyone time.
Cause if I were a server, what’s on tap would get old real quick.
