Gorgeous and delicious cocktails, great friendly service, warm, cozy and charming space! Went to grab a drink and dinner on a whim and it was nice to be back! French fries are to die for perfect, although our burgers were not cooked to ordered temperature. :(. But overall great place to listen to live music, grab a gorgeous cocktail, wander around the property (they have a chess board to play too!).

The food was delicious. The cheese board and deviled eggs were both excellent appetizers. We had the burger—it was fantastic. The drink menu is creative, and you can tell they really know what they’re doing. Best of all was the live music. For me, it’s the perfect package: great food and drinks paired with fun live entertainment.

I’ve been to the Ostrich Room several times over the past year and it’s always been hoppin’. I’m not sure there’s another place where I’m more likely to make friends with people at the next table! It’s a great pleasure to jump up and dance with otherwise strangers. Like a wedding reception that way!
The staff is fun, funny and attentive — they’ve accommodated us whether a party of 2 or of 14. And I’m literally dreaming as I type of the homemade focaccia, deviled eggs, green salad and rigatoni alla vodka. In my dream I’m enjoying a cocktail — The Tea Between Worlds. Both those last two items contain vodka and I don’t even like vodka — but I LOVED them!
Don’t miss the Evan Lanoue Trio. Those guys have the talent to headline a stadium concert! What a privilege to experience them in the warm confines of the Ostrich Room…

Great place for a drink or a whole meal. Lovely room, great food, great bartender, and server. Music Wed thru Sat. I have been twice, and the bluegrass group on Wednesday, was very good, and the blues group, on a Saturday, was fantastic.

I’ve eaten here twice and I’m going back this week. They’ve got an inspired cocktail menu, terrific entrées and (on some nights) a quality band or two. Scanning the reviews, I see that everyone who’s been here since the new chef & team arrived (mid-2024) have given the Ostrich Room 5-stars. Well deserved.

I love The Ostrich Room. We were lucky enough to sit on the comfy sofa in front of a roaring fireplace eating our delicious meals. The place is small, intimate, nicely spaced tables. I had filet mignon, which was unarguably one of the best cooked meats I’ve ever eaten. Prosecco was top notch. Staff is too. And one of the best things about this place is the musical entertainment – low key, lovely.

Perfect blend of fun, quirkiness and excellent food and drink. Live music was a plus, staff very friendly, and just a great experience in the Berkshires.

My local go to.
Amazing food, laid back and cozy atmosphere.
Live music and friendly staff make the experience even more enjoyable.

For food I usually order the Arayes, which is lamb in pita, and it’s always excellent.
The chef is incredibly talented, and puts a lot of effort into his food. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

The rotating groups of musicians are from the area and all very talented. They don’t play every night, but the nights they do play are bustling, and even on calmer nights it’s still an excellent venue to relax with a cocktail by a fire.

All in all it’s a great place to meet locals and travelers alike (since it’s also an Inn); so whether you’re meeting old friends or making some new ones it’s a really fun place I highly recommend.

The bartender was grumpy, I asked to add tequila to a mocktail option & he made me a vodka mule. When I spoke up about how this is not what I asked for he explained “that’s what a mule is” but I didn’t ask for a mule. I asked for the mocktail that has ginger beer, lemongrass and blood orange, my cocktail had only the ginger beer. He “remade” it with tequila, and it was again just tequila and ginger beer, his attitude was the problem. Would return if a different bartender was working, other staff seemed pleasant.

Thank you for your response. I would add that there was only one other person at the bar, a very small bar, with few seats. I even witnessed the bartender go on break, so perhaps he was having a bad day. Surely the restaurant being busy is no reason to have a sour affect & dismissive behavior towards customers. We would have stayed longer, spent more money & left larger tip, had he been polite. But we left due to the rudeness, specifically. So there are some areas to improve there.
