Social Profile:

Tony Packo’s has been serving up authentic Hungarian flavors in Toledo since 1932! From our famous Sweet Hot Pickles to the legendary Packo’s Chili Dog, every bite is a taste of history. In 1972, Burt Reynolds put us on the map when he signed a hot dog bun—kicking off our iconic “bun signing” tradition. Now, walls at every Packo’s location showcase autographed buns from presidents, musicians, and Hollywood stars. We even gained worldwide fame thanks to Toledo native Jamie Farr, whose M*A*S*H character, Corporal Klinger, gave us a shout-out in six episodes! Stop by and be part of the tradition.

Casual, long-running Hungarian-American spot with signature hot dogs, soups & classic entrees.

Yeah, I’m giving a hot dog joint five stars. Why? Mainly because of the unique experience, yummy food and great service.

Had their standard dog. Came with chili, onions and mustard. Nothing like my standard order but really worked. The chili had a big flavor, the hotdog was a bit garlicky and had a nice snap to the casing while the rest of it rounded out the dish.

Perogies showed up a few minutes later. I went with their standard flavor and really enjoyed how the potato stuffing paired with the paprika-infused sour cream. Tasty!

Glad I gave them a shot!

Mom didn’t care for her cabbage roll, but otherwise the meals were pretty good and decently priced. The pierogis were even better warmed up.

I always wanted to stop by and try Tony Packos. What a great place. Love the history. Menu is not very big and that is OK. Absolutely recommend the hot dogs! Perfection. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Well worth the time to stop by and grab some great food.

Such an iconic slice of Toledo and a great spot for a quick meal. We enjoyed perogies and chili dogs and enjoyed everything. Be sure to take a browse of the many signed artificial hot dog buns in the wall. What a trip!

First time visit, Sat at the bar and the friendly bartender recommended a hotdog and paprikash dish, cabbage roll, & Side of German potatoes soaked in some liquid. Our lunch came out very quick. Good pickles and spicy peppers. Lots of Parking across the street.

Overall good experience, I can see why it’s so popular as an affordable quick hot and hearty meal.

This restaurant was recommended. My husband and I were staying near the area for a few days. We stopped in for lunch and was greeted with a line of people waiting to order (which we were expecting). It reminds us of portillo’s and how their ordering system is. I ordered an original dog and a side of Cole slaw. My husband ordered the perogies and Mac and cheese. Food was good (i didnt care for the spicy dill pickles), atmosphere was interesting (in a good way), it was easy to find parking. Would recommend.

Tony Packo’s is a Toledo staple(also, Mash/Klinger’s favorite restaurant). Their Hungarian Hot Dogs are always a great choice, but they also have other great food options. Their chicken paprikash and roast beef&mashed potatoes are also a excellent choice(be hungry, their food is filling). After the main course, their strudel (apple or cherry ) is difficult to bypass. At the opposite end of the restaurant from the entrance, there’s a gift shop. They sell their great pickles & peppers, hot dog sauce and apparel(t-shirts, shorts, key chains and other various items)-stop-in and explore. A great family restaurant, there’s something for all.

This is a bitter sweet revue. I’ve eaten here off and on since i started working I OH 9 years ago. The chili is hit and miss depending on who is making it that day. The hotdogs are the best!
But…. I ordered the pumpkin strudel. I think it’s was 4.50$, I ended up with a 2” square. Disappointed? Yes. I was shocked when I open the “to go “ box and saw what I had. I don’t expect a whole strudel but what I received was not worth the money.

We try to stop here any time that we are passing through Toledo. This place is packed with nostalgia. It’s practically part of Americana.

If you are looking for some great ethnic food or a great hotdog, this is the place to go. We had the stuffed cabbage rolls and pierogi’s.
The food was very good. I you leave Tony’s hungry, it’s your own fault. Many famous people have walked through its doors. Check out the autographs on the walls.

What a great place to eat. Definitely need to come again! Tried food I don’t usually eat so that was a plus. Also seeing the celebs who have come through here and signed their names was so cool
