Stumbled across this iconic and historic dive bar on Saturday. (Thanks to Yelp) It was close to 100’ outside and there was a full bar inside. Cash only. (You can take your drinks to go.) Not food service. No tabs. No outside seating. It does have tons of local flair! Everyone seems to know each other and they were very welcoming to us. We stayed for a while and really enjoyed our visit to Pinky’s.

If you want a local pub and a place that exudes local character, look no more…
Great place to simply hang out and have a cocktail before the show at the Savannah Playhouse. Yes it does look a little rough but has grit and is real AND the owner makes a good Old Fashioned drink – he’s been doing it for a while I think.

We accidentally stumbled into this little local pub! The atmosphere was fantastic, thanks to the locals. Everyone was really friendly to us tourists. One gentleman even shared a story about how President Jimmy Carter once sat on the other side of the bar here. God rest his soul! They have a huge variety of draft beers. The bartender was also very cheerful, which really added to our good mood! The price-quality ratio is excellent! It’s a must-stop during a sightseeing tour of Savannah! It’s good to know that Savannah is one of only three cities in the U.S. where you can drink alcohol on the street, either partially or fully.

My favorite bar of the trip and our first stop after arriving in Savannah. We came in about 5:30pm thursday afternoon and my wife and I had a few drinks before the hockey game. The bar patrons were friendly and we spoke with a polite gentlemen named Howard who gave us recommendations to go and check out while in town. Our bartender was a very sweet lady (apologies can’t remember the name) but you guys were wonderful.

This bar is cash only! BUT there’s an ATM inside. 🙂

Go enjoy a drink.

Take cash and have a great time in one of the best dive bars in Savannah! What a tradition to try in Savannah. We visited the legendary Pinkie Masters. Our bartenders were really funny and had lots of energy.

Pinkie Masters was recommended to us by friends and new friends alike. It is AWESOME. Total throwback, no frills, but Matt the bartender was fabulous, and the atmosphere can‘t be beat.

Cool little dive bar. Cash only but they have an atm. Lots of pics and 70s Pabst decor. Jukebox and darts. Chill atmosphere with diverse crowd. David Lee Roth poster. Jimmu Carter came here in the 70s! One of the oldest bars in town. There is some history about the original owner.
