service was amazing and food was great. usually impossible to get in on Sunday because of the after church crowd but today was only a 10 minute wait. the menu has a lot of variations of pancakes, waffles, eggs, etc. which was a little overwhelming but not a big deal. I ordered the eggs Benedict with pancakes and a diet coke. the waitress gave me potatoes on accident but was super nice and apologetic about it and traded it for pancakes. she was super on it about refills and making sure we were all good. the food itself was also amazing. the sauce on the eggs Benedict went great with everything and the pancakes were very fluffy. at the end she made sure we got a box and got everyone to go drinks.

Very disappointed with the food after visiting the Portland Original Pancake House. I ordered sides because menu was overpriced – hashbrowns and poached eggs. Was brought homefries (was told their version of hash browns). I regret now not returning them. My friend had a waffle & eggs. She thought food was good. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Coffee was $4 and since I can get a latte for not much more I stick with water.

Service was great I feel bad for the servers because it’s not their fault. The food is extremely overpriced. They don’t use any seasonings at all this might be the blandest food I’ve ever had. Everything was underwhelming. Biscuits and gravy was cold and low to mid grade at best. Potatoes were under cooked, cold and bland. I definitely will never be back. Sorry but gas stations have better biscuits and gravy

We really don’t go out to breakfast often but every once in awhile. My husband ordered the cornbeef hash that was no better than the cans, they just added onions. I had the chicken fried steak! $19.99!!! Don’t bother it was pressed! The pancakes are good though so if that’s your thing don’t let this review bother you! BUT if you like what we ordered, DON’T!

I walked in after dropping my son off at school, I was ignored until other people walked in. Several people saw me and made eye contact, but did not smile or greet me. When they finally say me down, the waitress was pleasant. She took my order. I got my food and was shocked at how bland it was. I got the links and eggs with hash browns. I don’t think they even salted it for taste. It was like eating hospital food. For 18.95….there should be at least a little bit of flavor. I didn’t like the sausage links, they tasted gamey. I just moved into this neighborhood and love breakfast food. It’s my favorite. And I was hoping this would be my spot for special treats. I’ll come back another time and dress different, maybe then I’ll get treated better. I’ll try something different.

Today I was invited to go have breakfast with a friend at the NE Salem location on Hwy 99E, not far from Interstate 5. Although slightly spendier than the avg breakfast restaurant . . I was pleasantly surprized at the quantity of quality food that I got, for the price. The sausage was above par, loads of hashbrowns, and my poached eggs cooked absolutely perfectly, just how I asked for them. I was very happy with the service and charming old school breakfasthouse atmosphere, as well! An excellent dining experience all the way around and happy that I gave this location a chance. Far more reasonable prices than my Portland experience, several years ago, where I felt like they wanted to gouge everyone coming through the door there, for every little thing. Different market, I guess.

I ordered the sausage & egg breakfast that comes with hashbrowns or pancakes. I highly recomend this Salem location! High marks!

Seriously the best Denver omelet I ever had. I don’t know how they get their eggs so fluffy. My wife had a spinach and sausage scramble that was also fantastic. As were the pancakes and crepes we had. The coffee was strong and fresh. The service was top notch.

The wait was long but expected. Clear communication from the front desk staff! The restaurant was clean and busy! The food was great! Our server was great!! For the price of food though, I’d expect more. Two eggs and 4 pieces of bacon shouldn’t cost almost 20 bucks…my sons 5 pancakes shouldn’t have cost almost 20 bucks either. Everything else was wonderful!!

I absolutely love the gluten free pancakes! They also serve heavy cream with the coffee!! Super fast food delivery and always amazing wait staff. Yes, it’s pricey, but worth it to me.

While the food and service are good, it is way too expensive.

Two entrees, two coffees, and a small bowl of peaches came out to nearly $80. That is ridiculous.
