I cannot tell you enough how amazing the staff is at the Southfield location! They go above and beyond to make your experience amazing. We accidentally showed up when they were closing, and they were so kind to let us in and make us the best item on their menu …. The Big Apple pancake!!! If you haven’t had it, it is the most amazing breakfast/treat/well balanced meal (hahaha) with homemade whipped cream, you can have! I highly recommend everyone comes here at least once or make this a family treat. Any chance you get. They are simply amazing! The manager is top notch!!!

Great Spot!!! Stopped in on whim and glad I did. It was busy, and there was a line (a good sign), but it moved fast. Breakfast was good, service wonderful (Tee was outstanding) and I’ll surely be back when I’m in the neighborhood again.

I am extremely disappointed with the service we experienced today. We arrived at 1:00 PM and were seated at approximately 1:10 PM. Upon being seated, there were still receipts left on the table from the previous customers, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness (picture included).
After being seated, we waited roughly 15 minutes before our server brought water to the table. There was no greeting or introduction, just waters dropped off with a brief statement that she would be back. Unfortunately, another 30 minutes passed and we still had not been helped. No order was taken, no check-in, nothing.
We happened to notice an old friend, MaRina, working today and said hello. She immediately noticed something was wrong, and after we explained that we had not been assisted, she kindly stepped in and took our order after getting approval from Alexus (whose name we only knew because it was printed on the receipts left on the table).
What made the situation even more unsettling was that during this entire time, Alexus was actively engaging in full conversations and providing service to her other tables directly next to us. This made it unclear why our table was repeatedly ignored and left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
We have been coming here consistently for the past two months and have always had great service, which is the only reason we stayed instead of leaving. We were very close to walking out if MaRina had not stepped in to help. Normally, we request to be seated in Demiah’s section, but unfortunately she was not working today.
What truly ruined the experience was overhearing Alexus speaking loudly about us afterward, pointing and implying that we were attempting to get free food because we knew MaRina. That accusation was inappropriate and unprofessional. If we had known MaRina was working, we would have requested her section from the beginning and avoided this entire situation.
A sincere thank you to MaRina and Mary who listened to our complaint and provided a discount for the inconvenience. I truly hope this does not become a recurring issue, but unfortunately, this experience has left us unsure if we will return.

Fantastic service despite being very busy. Food came out surprisingly quick and hot. Started with the fresh strawberry waffle; was so good we had to try another. Will definitely be coming back to try some other waffles. 10/10 recommend.

After about 20 years I was able to get to experience this place!
Word of advice: Go during the week when people are at work and school. Otherwise you’ll be waiting 20 years like I did lol.
The wait was worth it though. Didn’t disappoint. I LOVE the pancakes. Can’t wait to go back!

This was the worst experience. I came close to closing it must have been my issue but there’s no reason to accept my money and be treated disrespectful. The waitress didn’t ask what I was drinking every time I would say thank you there was no response as if they were bothered I was there. They brought my food which I ordered pancakes and sausage with eggs and no syrup& my sausage burnt black- over cooked They energy was off. I will not return. This is my first experience here because it’s close to my home. Sorry for me never again

Dined in about a month ago. Amazing Turkey Sausage Omelet! I added spinach and pepper jack cheese. So good! The pancakes are special too. Service was excellent on my first visit, and acceptable on my second visit. Nice atmosphere. Noise level was moderate.
