We came here with a group of about 10 people for lunch. There was only 4 other folks dining in the restaurant. We were there for almost 2 hours because our food took so long to come out. I understand we had a large group, but we waited a LONG time for our food. The food was poor when it did finally come out. I could taste the oil or grease they used. The service was horrible. A friend had an issue with his dish and the server told him “you’re fine honey.” He did not eat. They did not comp the meal or try to correct it.

The food was ok but the service was horrible. We sat down and got drinks and our server didn’t come back for almost 30 minutes till we got our food. There were multiple servers working our area, and we had to stop another server to ask where our waitress went. Still didn’t see her for another ten minutes, and this wasn’t a super packed or busy time. Food came out and wasn’t as requested, so mediocre food and terrible service equals an overall poor experience reflected in the poor tip we left. It should’ve been nothing, but we always try to be considerate even when it’s a bad experience. Two stars instead of 1 because the hostess at the front was nice.

We came in this morning for breakfast. Got sat. Server came by and asked for our beverage choices Coffee, water with lemon and a coke. The coffee came out in a minute, 5 minutes later the water, and no coke. A few minutes after that I asked about the coke “we are out” was the response. So I asked “anything else” “I don’t know “

You can’t miss with the Original Pancake House.
They serve a variety of the staple breakfast foods, which are all great. The service is excellent. The staff is friendly and efficient.
They have several different omelets. They also have seasonal flavors of crepes.
And if course the buttermilk pancakes are soft and buttery.

It was good food. Good expensive food. Got there before the big rush apparently. Because when we got there there was nobody in the line to be seated, leaving: people to the door and wrapped around.
Anyways, delicious french toast. Kids liked their food also. Orange juice has a lot of pulp (we were told beforehand). Nobody liked them though. But good thing we ordered small ones because they were 4 dollars and some change. Also didn’t know that for almost $5 we would all get toddler size drinks. Food is kinda high but it was good. Daughter was disappointed with no hash browns on the menu.

This restaurant is not very clean. Our waiter was not too welcoming or friendly and slow on refilled drinks but she was nice enough. However, while we waited on our check, her and the hostess got into an argument about how many tables she was getting. The food was okay, but not worth the price in my opinion. I wanted to try something new, but will go with Bob Evans next time!

The restaurant is just lacking in almost everything. The food is alright, the service was mediocre and the restaurant itself is extremely out dated and grungy feeling. The best thing about the place is their Dutch Baby’s. It never disappoints but the fruit that was served with it was all brown and wilted. We asked for new fruit and we were served better fruit but still contained a lot of brown and wilted strawberries. The omelette wasn’t that great either. It’s big, fluffy and dry. It definitely left more to be desired.
Overall, if you go to the Original Pancake House, you’ll get an edible meal but there are so many better options with a far better experience close that I just can’t recommend it.

Most places are average. An edible meal. Maybe 3 out of 20 rate a 4 or a 5.
The Almon French toast memorable. The cherry Keaffe Crepes very good. The rest not so memorable.
Our server who has been with the pancake house 28 years was excellent.

Know what you want because they are about efficiency. Keep your table conversations short and to the point until your order is made.
Try to limit specializing things like no powdered sugar on waffles because 9 times out of 10 you’re getting it how it is made.
Substitutions are merely a suggestion.
Don’t send food back.
It would be an awesome spot if it wasn’t accompanied by the smell of straight sewage outside. Inside is fine until you need to use the restroom.
It is a frightening experience… it resembles a scene from Joe’s Apartment minus the vermin…for both.
