Was good. But waiter rushed us as soon as we sat down. Salsa chips are good. But had the small shrimp cocktail. Don’t waste your money on that. Was shrimp, tomatoes and a few onions covered in ketchup. Sad and bad. Rest of food was good, traditional. But quesadillas needed more cheese in them. Hardly any in them. Chicken enchiladas with mole sauce were good. Pork al pastor were excellent.

The food was good. The fish was overcooked. The server was fantastic and nice. The other patrons who got up to leave as soon as they ordered brought the atmosphere of the entire place down.

Loved their salsa (I’m about salsa)! When you stop eating it, your mouth gets hotter. Delicious! I had the fish tacos. They were very good size pieces too, and the Ranchero beans were just as good. I will definitely be making another stop here before we leave.

Unfriendly. No greet. No welcome. No warmth at all & THAT is the reason for 3 stars. One thing about MOST Mexican restaurants is that their staff is always friendly. They will greet you and, at times, will strike up some conversation. and make you feel welcome. Great first impression! Not here.

First time here while we were visiting Galveston. We LOVED it! Staff and waiter was super friendly, plenty of seating, quick fast service, and delicious drinks and portions at an EXCELLENT price. Will definitely return whenever we visit Galveston again!

We ate here for our wedding reception which had 15 adults and 4 children the food is great was hoping to get the upstairs but was unavailable. Called like a month ahead of time and still had my reservation available when we showed up. Great service friendly atmosphere.

Food was delicious. Beef fajitas were tender and flavorful. That rice was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The beans were cooked perfectly. Came with lots of grilled peppers and onions. Came with all the trimmings, pico, cheese, sour cream, guacamole. Chips and salsa were good .. Salsa is a little bit hot but so good. Will definitely be a place I go

Oh, man! The Original Mexican Cafe in Galveston totally rocked our taste buds! The food was seriously amazing! Their enchiladas were out of this world, and those fajitas? Oh, wow, the flavors were on point!

The food was hot and fresh. The service was really quick, and the sauce was really good. The only real thing to be aware of is that a lot of their dishes have mushrooms, which is a little unusual for a Mexican food restaurant.

Fajita Trio was excellent . I’m very picky about my fajitas but these were all from very good cuts of fajita and chicken. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. Most shrimp fajita are barely grilled, these were just right. The grilled vegetables were flavorful and the charro beans are authentic. Margaritas and beers are priced well below what others charge. Will continue dining here…
