Breakfast tacos were pretty packed but the side of refried beans was so greasy that it glistened like it had a clearcoat. Chips were greasy as well. The server was nice but not very attentive and the men’s restroom was disgusting like a rest stop.

I had a very disappointing experience at The Original Mandito’s. The food came out completely burnt, as you can see in the photo. It was inedible and showed a complete lack of care from the kitchen. On top of that, the restrooms were filthy and had a terrible smell, which made the overall experience even worse. I expected much better. Definitely not coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

This place didn’t disappoint!! They fill up quickly for lunch during the Round Top Antique Festival, but that’s to be expected. Food was great!

This has always been our go to place in round top during the shows and have always enjoyed everything weve ordered. Our server was great.
…This time it let us all down in several ways … My 83 y.o. father was not very hungry but wanted 2 simple tostada’s (beans & cheese) and they could not accommodate him…so I asked if they had a kids plate and the server said no. Really? Wow!
Rice on 2 of our plates was nearly ice cold.
To top it all off, they can’t separate checks during the show. It’s all on one card or cash.
We may give them another try in the far future but not any time soon.

This place offers an excellent front porch to take in the square of Round Top! Very family friendly. Lots of young families there with kids.

The skinny margaritas are so good! My family and I enjoyed a nice lunch of steak nachos & a burrito. Both were pretty good.

The service was a bit slow but not holding that against them! Every where is short staffed due to the surge in Covid. So be prepared and be kind to those who actually showed up!

Went in with low expectations and was blown away. Thick crispy chips and delicious salsa and queso. Wife said here strawberry margarita was probably one of the best she’s ever had. (She ended up drinking 2 which is rare) I got beef enchiladas and they were delicious. Wife said her chicken soft tacos were amazing. Only thing that lacked flavor was the rice. Pricing was high but for a touristy town that’s expected but worth the price.

Found a piece of a Velveeta wrapper in our queso ! Decided to exit before we ordered main course. Also the Salsa had zero spice/heat.

The food is good. Just watch your bill, if you are splitting the ticket. They didn’t split ours correctly. So 4 people paid full price for a shared order of nachos.

I ate here on my first trip to Round Top. On most days, finding food in Round Top can be a challenge. I was happy to find this place open. Guacamole was good. Food was okay. I ordered tea and someone came around to give me a sample of a hibiscus tea and suggested I get it with vodka or tequila. The tea was good so I tried a drink. A small glass ( in bar lingo it’s called a short)…it was $12-$14. I was really trying to be nice since I got sales pitched. My meal for one was $50 and was a basic Mexican plate…enchiladas. In the Houston area, Mexican food is literally on every corner. I know the best places and competition is steep. This is not the best…it’s mediocre. However, to survive in a very small rural town, I do understand the pricing. I am a small business owner myself so I get the economics of it, and I appreciate them being open. I’ve been into sales for years as well…if you are going to sales pitch and ask someone to “try” something, maybe give them an introductory price? The drink was good but small. Overall, Mandito’s, you are appreciated.

Was very disappointed. Chips were stale, queso tasted like it was made with hotdog water, and the guacamole tasted like nothing but lime juice.
