While driving past, we decided to stop since we love the original malt shop in the cities, we got malts appetizers, and they were both delicious. The tall man at the front counter was extremely kind and attentive and the malts were so delicious I had to go the next day since I was back in the area.
The cheese curds were amazing and I absolutely loved their strawberry and cherry shakes. We will definitely be back when we are in the area for a delicious treat

This was a unplanned stop, but I don’t regreted at all. The service was excellent, from placing the order to the table serving. The burgers were delicious and the athmosphere very pleasant. It was an delicious experience, much better than any more fine or expensive restaurants. Highly recommended for a good Burger and a malt.

Good music, friendly staff, delicious food! Service was quick, they brought the food right to the table for us and it was fresh and hot. They have classic and unique malt flavors and I have yet to be disappointed. This time I opted for the deep fried twinkie malt and was not let down. I don’t know how they do it, but the ultimate grilled cheese has the best cheese pull I’ve ever experienced! Highly recommend checking it out.

What a hidden gem! We went to the fridley location. It’s bright, clean and spacious with fun murals everywhere.
Burgers, fries and malts were all great, fast and cheap! The staff was super friendly and helpful too.

First time making it out to The Original Malt Shop, food was very delicious (pictured is the breakfast burger basket with fries and half order of cheese curds) presentation was nice, kids menu was a reasonable price, and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

More seating than I expected. Staff is friendly. Restaurant clean. Mushroom Swiss burger was good. Not overcooked. The malt was fabulous!!! Fries while not being what I would typically think of when I see “handcut fries”, were good. Done just right.

I had not had the best of experiences at the Roseville location but I thought I would give this location a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The burger was properly cooked and had good flavor. It was the special, the Brutos burger, a third pound burger with beer cheese sauce and crispy onion straws. It was very tasty. Fries were for nice and crispy. The malt was very good. I’ll be back!

Reasonably priced friendly and courteous staff. Malt was phenomenal cheese curds and onion rings yummmm only complaint the burger needed a little salt. Would definitely recommend!
2nd visit today with the kiddos for ice cream cones. Kids lived it reasonable price for a 3scoop cone $3.50 will definitely be back!
