I grew up in Chicago, so I know a real Chicago dog when I taste one — and The Original Hot Dog Stand absolutely nails it! The Vienna Beef dog had that perfect snap, the bun was authentically steamed with poppy seeds, and the toppings were spot-on — bright green relish, sport peppers, fresh tomato, onion, pickle spear, and just the right touch of celery salt. Their cheese fries were also outstanding.
This is the kind of place that makes you do a double-take — a little slice of Chicago right here in Roslyn. Friendly service, great quality, and 100% authentic flavor. I’ll be back for sure!

What is better than a sunny day in Roslyn, WA, a nice breeze, an INCREDIBLE Chicago-style hot dog from The Original Hot Dog stand (food truck), great customer service from the owner and lovely young lady taking the order, and to sit under an umbrella-covered table enjoying people watching? NOTHING I TELL YOU! Having just returned from Chicago and jonesing for a Chicago dog, this pristinely-clean food truck gave me the Chicago vibe with a perfect hot dog with all the Chicago fixings (although I am a rebel and add ketchup to mine!). Scarfed that doggie down in record time! (Thus no photo as I had it shoved in my gob before a second thought about photos )If you are ever in Roslyn, stop by #theoriginalhotdogstand for a bite … and the menu is more than just Chicago Dogs – and I wager just as tasty!

First experience of a Chicago dog and it was delish! Seattle native and the grilled onions with cream cheese brought be back to being in front of the stadium at Seahawk games. Great atmosphere with tables outside, sun and a cool summer breeze. What better way to enjoy a dog!!:)

I love the new green area for sitting down and eating, and after trying a the hotdogs here before, I tried their Italian beef sandwich. It is legit delicious. Juicy, soft beef on crusty bread, soaked just right in au jus. The giardiniera gives it a nice spiciness without overdoing it. Totally recommend!!

Drove two hours to get a hot dog, AND WAS SO EXCITED just to walk up and get told it was CLOSING EARLY. It was 3pm and they were supposed to close at 6pm. She said it was closing early due to it being slow, to me three hours early seems excessive. Very let down and upset.
