I love the bagels here – they are the closest quality to NYC. They have a great menu with breakfast sandwiches and I order online and my order is ready in 10 minutes. THe most impressive thing is that they are always fully staffed with efficient employees! Good for breakfast or lunch – Great place for a gift card purchase.

Do yourself a favor and find the next closest bagel shop and go there instead. They simply do not care about customer service here. I come here occasionally when I’m in the area, and at least 50% of the time, they get my order wrong. Today, they ruined the last bagel of the the flavor I wanted by messing up my order. I brought this to the manager’s attention, along with how often my order is wrong, and she was totally unconcerned. They simply remade my order with the next closest bagel flavor and handed it to me with no apology or any other attempt to retain me as a customer.

What the heck the way they treated me today was horrible and I ordered exactly at 7am and order here often say three times a week! My husband picked up Starbucks in Hockessin and then I ordered. They advised that they had just opened and that it would take approximately 15 minutes. I explained my husband had a meeting however, could they please rush I received a text from my husband at 7:06 explaining that they hadn’t had bagels delivered yet and could I please come back out so he can go home and prep. No problem I advise him and I got back in my car and went to the shop. I I arrive there at 7:18. I was given my husband‘s sandwich. However, when I asked about my plain cheddar bagel, I was told there were no cheddar bagels. I then said I will take another bagel. I see you have egg This was with the tall young blonde man. However, then a young man who is shorter with dark hair told me I would not be allowed to get any bagel for me and that I would be able to get a refund.. I said I see bagels can’t I just get any bagel for my breakfast? What about me? And he advised no sorry I cannot give you a bagel so here I am at 7:24 almost home and I have no breakfast. It’s why I gave the food one star I can’t even tell you today what it would taste like and this customer service is unacceptable! I can’t understand how they took an order allowed me to go and come back and then REFUSED to give me the order. They certainly didn’t value my time or my business and proved it by their actions. I guess they get so busy it doesn’t matter how they treat people.
We just received a response and an apology. We will see what happens next time and we will possibly revise review. We will keep you posted!
Here we go AGAIN! Another day where I waited almost 23 minutes for three breakfast sandwiches. They are nice people however I watched what happened and they forgot my order! Saying sorry doesn’t cut it when you have raised prices to $7.59 for a bagel with meat and cheese breakfast sandwich. Not an offer for a bagel or a juice nothing just oh yes sorry!
Went here for fresh bagels and a poppy seed with sausage, egg and cheese bagel sandwich. The prices aren’t cheap however the quality is very good and the bagels are very fresh. While not made there they are delivered. They have lots of cream cheese varieties and cold drinks and coffees. It’s a great weekend treat

I love this place. It is a nice spot to have a bagel with limited space. The staff is nice and the bagels taste good. They have plenty of bagels in the morning. So, that is the best time to go.

I order from here quite often and the food is always amazing. I picked up my order today (normally do delivery) and the staff were busy with a group of waiting customers and they were all pleasant and calm. Communicating with waiting people and everything.

This location is great, finally had to post a review and give them their 5 stars. Everyone there is kind and hardworking. I’ve tried so many bagel places in Delaware, but the Original Hot Bagels is genuinely the best. Every flavor of bagel and cream cheese is delicious. Also, they actually cook their bacon CRISPY, so extra stars for that. Amazing breakfast sandwiches, can’t give’em enough praise.

DONT LEAVE TIPS WHEN ORDERING ONLINE. I have been ordering from here over the last 2 years and been leaving a tip online for the ladies behind the counter. I found out today that they have never gotten any tips from the online orders! The only tips they get are the cash tips.

I’m not sure who is responding on this page but the staff does NOT get ANY online tips!!!! Only the greedy owner keeps them!!!!
