"The Original" Haven Brothers Diner Providence - Providence, RI 02903

I was visiting Rhode Island this past weekend and When I was looking for a late night spots to eat and this is one of the spots that popped up. The menu abd the food pictures looked really good so I decided to give it a try. It is a Food Truck but no problem with that. I got here late on a Friday night at about 1 AM, It was pretty packed inside but we were able to place our order immediately in the food only took about 10-15 minutes. I got the haven dog and I added sauerkraut and tomatoes to it. It was so good probably one of the best hotdogs I’ve had in my life 10 out of 10. I got a side of Cajun fries to go with it they were OK. Overall will be back for sure I want to try the burgers next time. !! Customer service is great as well

Don’t waste your money on the chicken strips. They’re basically giant McDonalds chicken nuggets. You get plenty of fries with the basket, but they’re the soggy cafeteria variety. Wasn’t cheap either. Nice staff though.

Haven’t been here in years maybe 10 or so. Blwhat I just got served was straight trash for the prices your charged for a dog atleast give a freshly cooked hot dog nothing from last night. The meat sauce tasted burned and old. The cheese sauce comes from a can. Need to out more effort in atleast common. I’ll never be back. Coney Island in Attleboro is levels above this.

It was fine. Good option for a late night hunger craving. It was very pricey tho. 2 hamburgers and fries was $30+ even with cash payment. The fries could have used more seasoning for the sweet potatoes. The buns were soggy but seems like that goes for all the burger places in RI, must be a thing lol.

I’d say definitely come try this place at least once. It was fun to order inside and experience the mobile diner that has been around since 1893. Inside there are photos of movies and shows that have featured the diner, which was fun to see.

It wasn’t the best burger I’ve ever had, but it was big and was good. We had the Original and the After Dark. The Haven style fries were good! My kids really liked the fried dough and churros. Would recommend it for the experience.

Jonah was extremely helpful and super friendly the service was exceptional and the food was amazing, if not five stars you need to give them 10 because they were all amazing, extremely generous and very helpful with suggestions regarding your orders.

Wish I could have liked this as it is a “staple”. However the food was really mid for the price. $35 for 2 hotdogs and 2 milkshakes. Bun wasn’t toasted and they were mildly warm at best. Expected more from a local staple.

This food truck is unfortunately amongst the worst in RI. The hot dog is low quality, barely cooked l, and served on a cheap bun. The hamburger is similarly low quality, dry, and bland. Clearly a food truck for a drunken evening, otherwise don’t bother.

A great place to get a bite to eat right on the streets of downtown Providence! The rodeo cheeseburger was amazing! So we’re the onion rings, cheese fries and regular hamburger! Service was great! Very fast and friendly! Walk right in, order and pick up your food at the window outside. Prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend trying this place out! You will not be disappointed!
