Same as others, the customer service was poor at best. My coworkers liked the donuts, but the reception and placing my order made me feel unwelcome and unwanted.

It’s hard to go wrong with any of The Original Ferrell’s Donuts outlets in this area. They’re all cozy, happy and inviting in a charming, old school way. They also serve hand carved sandwiches for lunch that are very good.
Mike prepares most of the donuts in one location, so they’re very consistent and very good. I always order an apple fritter and a bear claw, but love the custard filled too. mm mmm.
Not here though. It’s a very small joint with maybe two tiny tables and a bunch of delicate knick knacks you would find on display in the off-limits sitting room of your great aunt Dorothy’s home.
The donut display is ⅓ the size of typical donut shops, and it was probably only ⅓ full as well. No custard.
The lady seemed impatient with me, the I was the only patron there. I ordered a fritter and a bear claw. Neither was very good, and I finished neither one. That’s never happened before.
I shouldn’t be really surprised though. This is the kind of service, atmosphere, and quality of culinary product one expects from Scotts Valley establishments. There are no destination joints here, which is why SV residents of a discriminate culinary pallette come here to Santa Cruz and beyond for their dining pleasures.

Oof… I would have left one star but the redeeming quality is the doughnuts are actually good! But man, the lady behind the counter is rough to deal with! I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but it became very clear she hates her job and customers are an inconvenience to her zest for life. Next time I’ll take my doughnuts without the side of eye rolls, scoffs, grunts and not so under your breath profanities lol

The woman behind the counter had this scowl on her face, no greeting, and just so much negative energy. Seems like the owner is aware of the employee.
Hardly any selection available of donuts at 8;30 am. I would have purchased for my family , but why patronize a business where you don’t feel welcome? Not looking to be treated special, just feel like the business wants you there.

Picked up 2 dozen donuts for my daughter’s birthday. The lady at the counter was extremely rude, seemed annoyed, frustrated while serving us. She kept rolling her eyes and sighing. I will definitely not go back there again.

Came to Ferrell’s twice for breakfast sandwiches during a recent stay at the Four Points Sheraton just a 3 minute walk away. – It’s a tiny little place that felt like a throwback to a bygone era. Simple, cute, clean, and charming. Had good service from the same nice gentleman both times I was there. If you’re looking for some simple morning fare while staying nearby, I would definitely recommend you check out this Ferrell’s location.

Been on vacation in scotts valley last 2 days. This location has the BEST hand made doughnuts I’ve ever had. A nice amount of choices and each one is crafted to perfection. And a dozen doughnuts won’t break the bank! This spot is a MUST!!!! Also the owner is such a sweet lady who is very welcoming!!!!!!

I’m good friends with Adeeb the Owner of Hannah’s. So I come here to see the building and wish it was still there. I gave the donut shop 4 stars only because I had A cinnamon roll that the dough was not cooked on the inside.
