It really sucks because we spent almost 20 dollars on two breakfast burrito specials. One chorizo and one ham. We chose to come here over los arcos express and big mammas, but quickly regretted it. The ham was very old and hard. Barely any chili in the burrito. The dryness of the ham and little chili gave a dry outcome. The chorizo burrito had more chili, but the chorizo tasted old as well. It’s expensive to get take out now days. At least make the food quality worth it. We will not be returning ever again.

My first time here!! Wasn’t too bad the beef tacos were great the bean and cheese smothered with hot chile sauce was good. The service was great the atmosphere was nice as well kind people in there while we were dinning so thats always a plus.

I ordered a double Mexican hamburger smothered in mild chili, as I can’t handle spicy food. I asked the staff twice to confirm that it wasn’t spicy, but when I got home, I discovered it was indeed spicy. I immediately called the store, and Brittney answered. She apologized and suggested I return to make the order again. I informed her that it would take me 30 minutes to drive back, so I asked if I could stop by tomorrow.
The next day, I went into the store, and another manager approached me. Before even apologizing, she informed me that they couldn’t make the order because I hadn’t backed the food. I explained that I had been told otherwise when I called the store the previous night and even showed her the photo with the receipt. She then claimed that the food was mild, which I clearly knew was not the case. I wouldn’t waste my time taking a photo and calling the store since I order the same thing every time.
As a business owner, it’s unacceptable to deceive customers and make excuses. The first thing she should have done was apologize and not make us wait 15 minutes before I had to approach again. The worst part was the attitude of the female manager. First, she lied to my face about the chili being mild, and then her next excuse was, “Brittney is new, she doesn’t know the policy.” I wasn’t upset that I couldn’t get the replacement food, but because of her attitude and dishonesty. I ended up ordering the food, but I won’t support a business that shows no value to its customers.
By the way, I want to express my gratitude to the male front desk person who demonstrated empathy. If anything, he should be the store manager. Keep it up!

I have been eating at this Chubbys location several times a week for the last 5 months and have never had any of the problems described by others or I wouldn’t go back as I do. Their green chilli is second to none and the food is always fresh and hot when you get it. Their carne asada burritos and Mexican hamburgers are awesome. As well as their chicken tacos but honestly I have never had a meal from Chubbys that was bad. Their food is really good and the portions are big so make sure your hungry. One of the few places where you can actually get more than a old hamburger for under $20

I went here after work and received the wrong order and when I tried calling 3 times no one answered when I contacted management they refused to give me a refund and wanted me to bring everything back so they can remake it which is nice but I just wanted my money back because I should not have to spent my time ( 20 minute drive) and gas going to get something I wanted right the first time.

Great food. Chubby’s is as “Denver” as it gets. As a native, this style of burrito is something I grew up with. Always delicious, Chubby’s is a Denver institution.
One note… The drive thru is pretty tight. The guy in front of me had to back up and pull forward a few times to get his truck through, and it was a pretty normal full size truck. The walls are all scraped up as well. So, if you have a larger truck, I would suggest using the lobby.

Still one of my favorite places for Mexican food! And, by the steady stream of patrons in the place, I’m not the only person who thinks so. I had the shredded beef burrito deluxe, with cheese lettuce and tomatoes, smothered in delicious green chili! So glad this family owned place is still serving up great meals!

Out of all the chubbys locations I feel like this one is the best (the one on 104th and feds is awful and stingy)
My biggest complaint about this on is I ordered the chubby size and large size and came home and weighed them and they weighed almost the same! Also NEVER order ‘extra’ anything. If you order extra cheese they will put less chile… If you order extra chile they will charge u but not add extra . The issue is if you order SMOTHERED anything you expect to get it actually smothered. They barely put enough chile to cover the top layer of fries the rest will be dry. Feel like they need to do better. Their menu items are not cheap for them to be so stingy.

Julian is so nice and always taking care of me when I go in. Friendly staff from the drive through- to the front counter. I appreciate all the hard work the cooks put in as well. Just overall a good place to eat never had a bad experience and If I did they always fixed it.

Another thing that needs to be said about Chubby’s Mexican Restaurant — the cheese does not taste like real cheese at all. It tastes like cheap, processed cheese product. No flavor, no quality, just that artificial melt that tells you corners are being cut.
When you’re charging the prices they charge, the least you can do is use quality ingredients. Cheese is one of the most basic parts of a burrito, and when that’s low quality, it ruins the whole experience.
Between the overcharging and the low-quality ingredients, it’s clear they care more about squeezing money out of customers than actually serving good food. People notice the difference. I won’t be back.
