The Original Chicken Box is so cute! Black owned and they take good care of you. Food is so delicious I forgot to take a pic before diving in. Will be returning to try the chicken and waffles. I got an 8 piece chicken nugget with the greens and everything was a 10. Fried to perfection!

Customer service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 I’ve been to this eatery a few times now. The food delivers, the wings are good, the shrimp is a hit, and that mac and cheese! I can tell it’s made with love. Price wise, this is not your “hood carryout” chicken box. And as a former food service worker, it’s understandable. The food is fresh, outstanding quality, made to order, not sitting out. The waffle and the toast are also a hit! Next on my list to try is the Fish Boat (fish sub), party wings, baked beans, greens, banana pudding and cobbler. They also have a chicken sandwich that looks So I have a few more visits to go.

I ordered the chicken wings and blueberry waffle combo. The smell was intoxicating. Loved the fresh blueberries. The waffle was soft and whatever was in that batter!!
The wings were hot, crispy, and really big. The chicken was juicy and had a great crunch.
The restaurant was clean, with friendly staff. I will definitely give this place another visit. Try the mango habanero sauce!!!! They have lots of sauces to choose from.

I just finished the best comfort/soul food I’ve ever had from a place that wasn’t a restaurant. Then I just had to come tell you all about it.
I was Born in New Orleans and don’t recall a single thing about it. Grew up in Florida a great deal of my life and have lived in Colorado for the last 10 years. Hard to find authentic food like this over there. I am visiting the area from CO and I am blown away, y’all !
Homemade Mac and Cheese? On point.
Baked beans? I don’t know what they put in these but dang. Had a bit of a kick to them as well. Just the right amount.
I ordered sweet tea, sad I didn’t get it, but the replacement was apparently strawberry lemonade which is probably my equally highest choice and that was also just
I ordered 3 chicken tenders as the main protein and they were very generously sized. Only lightly breaded. Delicious. And came with a choice of several sauces I didn’t realize must have been homemade.
I got spicy sweet chili sauce which was great and some kind of mustard option which definitely seemed made in house and was amazing.
Absolutely wonderful, thank you for taking care of your food and your guests. The love you put in shows. Now to eat this banana pudding!

The OG chicken box customer service was great. My first bite of the fries and my spicy chicken sandwich was fantastic! Fries were crispy and the sandwich had perfect heat.

Update October 2025 the Mac n cheese is excellent…..Brand new in Owings Mills food was delicious. I had the catfish fried hard and crunchy good flavor very large portions and you get 2. Macaroni and Cheese definitely home made and delicious the collards are good. Long lines however friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Worth the wait

I freaking looooove their food! I mean it’s amazing! Their fried shrimp is amazing! It’s my favorite thing! Their french fries are perfect, their banana pudding will make your day brighter! The waffles “AMAZING”!!!! My husband LOVES their fried chicken and waffles and he is so picky it’s usually really hard to please him! Now that peaches n cream bread pudding will have you ready to melt! It’s soooooooooo good. I mean just warms the soul!!! I absolutely love this place and whenever I’m having a rough day I can count on the wonderful staff and amazing food to lift my spirits!! The picture of the bread pudding on the plate was so good, I remembered to take a picture finally when I was almost finished lol! That bread pudding is definitely stand alone good !!! Even if you ate it alone and warm it’s worth it!!!

What a surprise this was! My wife and I got the two different chicken sandwiches, one spicy one original and then I got some Korean barbecue wings
I heard there’s a chicken sandwich war going on well if there is this place is winning.
It was by far one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had.
The sandwiches are big. they’re pretty much a meal by themselves.
And the wings, deep-fried and then rolled in the sauce of your choice, they’re not the biggest Wings Ive ever had but they are meaty enough.
The fellow that works there recommended the banana Puddin. It’s not something I normally would go for put on his recommendation. I tried it. It made a fan out of me. It was almost like a sugar cookie crust at the bottom and thick banana pudding with chunks of bananas throughout. It was absolutely great.
And the people working there, couldn’t of been lovelier. They truly made the dining experience, enjoyable.
I would absolutely recommend anybody in the area or even out of the area to give this place a shot. You won’t be sorry.

This is a hidden gem of a place to eat in Owings Mills. I normally order the chicken and waffles which both are excellent! The spice and crunchiness of the chicken combined with juiciness in the inside makes their chicken outstanding. The waffles are cooked just right and there are several flavors to choose. My favorite is the banana pudding. There sides are also well done. The owners are exceptionally great people and their staff are very customer friendly as well. They are mostly a takeout place but they do have tables. I almost always eat on premise and have never waited for a table. This my favorite chicken place in the area. They know how to do chicken and waffles right!
