The service was excellent, the atmosphere was also nice. The decor was nice I really liked the dry aquarium idea. The gift shop had beautiful items as well; some from local artists. The food was decent. The variety of dishes to choose from were really good. The price was pricey for the buffet at $49.99 a person. We got there at 3:25pm right before it opened and there was a sizable line, but didn’t take long at all to get a table 5 minutes if.

The food was hot and well prepared. We went during the week and off season so we had no wait. Sat immediately with no wait for crab legs.
Children are allowed here and they were all pretty well behaved. Pasta chef was awesome. After I added my seafood, it made the perfect dish. The server was fast and brought fresh steak knives and drinks when needed.
Would go back again without hesitation.

Since our first visit to Myrtle Beach in 2016, we always eat here. Unlike other restaurants, we don’t have to wait a long time because the crab legs are not salty and are quickly refilled with hot steamed crab legs. It’s a family-run restaurant, so it’s definitely different from other places. If you’re in Myrtle Beach, you must come and taste it. I’ve never seen a better interior. I highly recommend it.

This place is simply wow! The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The buffet offers an impressive variety of dishes, from seafood classics to hearty sides. The décor is spectacular – the whole interior is designed like the inside of a grand ship, with detailed nautical touches everywhere. There are ship models throughout, including an impressive Titanic replica, and even the servers are dressed in captain-style uniforms, which really adds to the atmosphere. As soon as you arrive, a doorman greets you and opens the door, making you feel like a special guest. There are plenty of tables, so it’s comfortable even when busy. It is on the expensive side – with tips, dinner for three came to $195 – but the quality, unique setting, and overall experience made it well worth it.

Ive been coming to Old Benji’s for a couple years now and its my favorite restaurant. Hands down out of any sit down place this is my #1. The crab legs are always good sized and taste sweet. Its top notch to me that they have steamed oysters on the buffet. I have NEVER had a problem with any of the staff. Customers come from all walks of life to come here so I’ve seen some act quite foolish but the staff always handle it with as much grace as they can. We love to sit on the back side by the river when the sun is going down. The kids go downstairs to an arcade where they are just as content as they can be after their dinner. Theres a bar area, a gift shop, different levels and fully decorated rooms to sit in. My little slice of food heaven if you will.

Came at 4pm, left at 6pm. Food was hot, lots of variety, and crabbb legggssss!! I pretty much went for crab legs and ate sooooo much. They kept it stocked and had no issues keeping up with the crowds. Restaurant is quite large and very creative and unique dining rolls. The calabash (fried) seafood was quite tasty and some of the sides like Mac and cheese, crab something, and green beans were yummy. The tuna and salmon were not great. But the crab legs and fried shrimp were on point so I was happy! Felt like a Vegas buffet. $50 for unlimited crab legs was worth it!

This was our first time at the restaurant, and we were warmly greeted by the kind staff right away. Our waitress was excellent—very attentive and made sure all our needs were met. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. While we initially weren’t sure what to expect, we ended up really loving the flavors and quality of everything we ordered. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great service and food.

The best crab legs I’ve had in Myrtle Beach. My clusters were perfectly steamed. You’d twist the joints and the meat came out without having to crack every one of them, which is how crab legs should be. I’m from the OBX and have ate crab legs my entire life and many AYCE places overcook them. I can say this place does it right. Came for the crab legs but the shrimp and grits were my second favorite item, then the coconut shrimp. Most buffet places focus on selling crab legs but the rest of the food is mediocre- not this place. All of the staff were so friendly. I’ve tried several of the seafood buffets in the area and this is the one I will choose in the future. I come to MB several times a year and if you’re wanting crab legs while you’re here, the buffet option makes the most sense when it comes to price and quantity. Most places charge $35+ for two clusters and a side. You might as well spend $50 and get as many clusters as you can eat and taste a bunch of other things. Not to mention a great salad bar, pretty decent desserts (especially for a buffet). Also want to mention they have a pasta bar where they make you a custom pasta dish, I didn’t try it but there were many options if pasta is your thing .
My only gripe goes to all of the buffets in town, I think there should be a cheaper option for those who don’t want to eat crab legs. $50 is an expensive price point for those who don’t eat the crab legs.
