– My 90-year-old grandma wanted Walleye for supper so off to the Oregon Inn! The portions were enormous on all the food. That small prime rib… HAHA small! All in all, the fish was good, I had perch and walleye for the first time and really enjoyed it. The walleye bites in the appetizer were much less fishy than the dinner walleye. I will say that the restaurant seemed to be out of a few items, and I would suggest for servers to inform the patrons before they look at the menu. My stepmom ordered the food item that she wanted & it was out of stock and the waitress said it had been gone for a while ( probably a recall). This caused my stepmom to make a quick new choice, and she was sorely disappointed with the sandwich. I had the sweet potato fries, and they were flavorless, they came with some kind of sweet cream which was not good at all. I tried the regular fries, and they were also bland and flavorless. The garlic mashed potatoes on the other hand were stellar! The portions for the desserts remind me of a food eating contest, HUGE!

A great little place by the lake. Had some really good food, drove all the way from fort Wayne Indiana just to try this place and it was worth it! Fettuccine Alfredo with Cajun chicken, BLT, side salad, Mac and cheese bites and peanut butter pie! Was mighty tasty!

The experience wasn’t too bad but one of our party ordered a steak Medium to Medium Well and it came out about 1/4 inch and we got 3/4 inch steaks. Look at the photo and the difference in thickness of these two steaks!!! We ordered ours Medium. When we asked about the thin steak and the difference in size, the waitress said. “Well you ordered it Well Done”. Sounds like we didn’t know the size and the thickness of the steak depended on the temperature of cooking. He actually ordered it, medium to medium well. The waitress did not offer to bring out the manager or any other options. Not impressed and the steak was $39.99! Definitely not a $40 steak! He did not eat it all. Took it home to the dog. The salad was your typical salad and the sides were typical. Nothing extraordinary. Just surprised by the response from the waitress! Geez. Maybe a bad night but we traveled quite a way. Beware grouchy help. We live about an hour and a half away and we will not go back.

Prices on their Website are deceiving and don’t even come close to reflecting the prices on the menu. Also, the Reuben sandwich stated stacked high corned beef. Really? There was barely any corned beef on the sandwich and the bread was stale. Walleye was not good. However, the prime rib was excellent and the side salad was good. Waitress was attentive. Won’t be back.

Tried this place for 1st from a friends recommendation. Let me just get this out if the way now. It’s worth coming here just for the cake, O MY is all I have to say.

Onto the food, I was very flavorful. The appetizer spinach and artichoke and the bread was savory. The grilled chicken with mushrooms and onions and peppers was cooked perfectly. The house salad was a little bit better than most places. Fried chicken sandwich was crispy and moist.

The only downful was the cost. Seemed very pricey for what you got. The waitress was very attentive. The restaurant was clean.

Our group of seven (four checks) was taken care of extremely well by Summer. She is a top notch pro with a good sense of humor reading her table well

Thursday night was Beef Wellington on special. Two went for it and loved it. All the food was good and quickly served .

One couple had room for dessert. I don’t know how they did it

The prime rib was decent. The scallops not so much. $13 for 2 and one was so gritty is was not edible. Nothing taken off my bill. They server was attentive. Wait time was minimal. It feels like a Cracker Barrel inside without the atmosphere. Lol
Our bill was $110 with 20% tip. I drank water, my husband had a coke with no refills offered. No apps, or dessert. One small prime rib with 2 scallops, and one medium size prime rib. Overall it was OK. I probably won’t drive the 30 minutes to go back.

The ambiance is typical of most lakeshore restaurants. The food, though, is amazing. I had some of the best prime rib I’ve tasted in a long time. Excellent service, incredible food. Highly recommend!
