Our son and his wife who live in the area wanted to try The Open Door. This place has a super cool layout with art and retail and several different and separate spaces for eating. Connie was our server and she warm and personable. We liked the broccoli soup, the artichoke dip and our sandwiches were yummy. I was surprised that our sandwich’s did not come with chips or salad, as in the menu, but after we left my daughter in law realized they substituted our soup orders rather than charging us separately as we wanted. A small miscommunication.

I’ve been here many times for outdoor concerts during the Sisters Folk Festival. I love the atmosphere. Last night, we tried the food for the first time. I loved the halibut with the lemon cream sauce and caprese salad. I didn’t love the artichoke dip but my husband did. There is something added to it that I didn’t love but can’t put my finger on what it is. The house salad was not appetizing for me but again my husband liked it. Overall, they have good food but it depends on your taste. I would go again.

The Open Door was the location for my wedding’s rehearsal dinner and welcome party and they were the catalyst to a perfect wedding weekend. Emily, her parents, the chef, and everyone who works there truly made us all feel like a part of their family. The food was unbelievably delicious and they accommodated vegan options for myself and other guests that felt fully incorporated with the menu. The space was absolutely beautiful and will always hold a special place in my heart as the location where my loved ones from near and far all came together to begin celebrating with my husband and I. We were blown away by their hospitality, attention to detail, and how they shared in our joy. I cannot recommend them enough for special events and am forever grateful to them.

The food was amazing. Service very good and friendly. I’ve had Italian at award winning places and the sauce on the lasagna had that fresh tang to it. Just wonderful. My wife’s sandwich was equally good, she had the club. Very nice setting, we sat outside on the patio and it has been very relaxing.

I’ve been to Open Door three times now and each visit is fabulous. Getting reservations is a must and they are not open as late as I would expect but the effort to eat here is definitely worth it. There is an art gallery in front with the restaurant in back and there is also a beautiful courtyard with more art that is accessible when there weather is nicer. The restaurant is very small and the menu is seemingly limited but the service is first rate and we have always found great dinner options as well. Prices are a bit high compared to other places in Sisters but none are as good as Open Door. Perfect for a quiet family dinner or a date night if you are in the area. Definitely coming back soon.

It had been 2 years since we were here, and we were not disappointed. The service was fantastic. Jen was the best. She let us have a slow, comfortable dinner. The food was amazing. Had the Pasta. My husband had the Halibut. Thank you. We will be back again someday.

My wife and I stopped in here, about 1:30 pm on a very pleasant summer Thursday afternoon. Very tastefully decorated, inside and out. Then outdoor patio seating was full, and 1 table was available inside. We opted for the table inside, otherwise its was only about a 15 minute wait.
Presley was our server, and even though she forgot our napkins and silverware, is give her a 9/10 for her service. All workers were busy, and they woorked together to keep customers happy. Food was delish! The artichoke dip had a creamy, rich body yet pronounced artichoke flavor, with lots of heart chunks in it, and plenty of grilled bread ($12). My wife’s pasta was well balanced with the lemons and alfredo, but a little steep @$24 for the lunch portion size. My yellow fin was a perfect amount for lunch, with lots of albacore, tomatoes and a thick slice of strata ($18) – very tasty. The spiked berries are a great lunch dessert for a sunny afternoon – lingonberries in amaretto syrup and vanilla ice cream, topped with whip cream. The Open Door is definitely one of the top 5 dining spots in Sisters.

What an awesome experience. This incredible restaurant is also an art gallery. I tried seafood lasagna, it was awesome. It had shrimp, salmon and scallops in it. Simply amazing

Some of the best salads I’ve had. The beet salad with salmon was incredible. Eat outside on the patio and enjoy the relaxing outdoor setting. Service was great and smiles all around.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while. My wife and I got married Memorial Day weekend of last year and had our Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party at The Open Door. It was the best choice we could’ve made and was literally the highlight of our wedding weekend. The food, atmosphere, and decor were amazing and the service was just spectacular. They helped us put together a plan for the night and orchestrated the flow of the whole evening. We are SO grateful to the whole The Open Door team for the lifelong memories made that night. Thank you all so so much! 🙂
