We went on a Tuesday night right after I got off work, expecting a quiet evening, but clearly it’s a local favorite because the place filled up the moment we parked! Even with the crowd, everything felt calm and welcoming. The lighting was dim but soothing, that perfect “cozy dinner glow,” not the kind where you’re squinting to see your food. We only waited about five minutes before being greeted and seated, which was impressive for how busy it was.
Our waitress, Aniyah, was an absolute delight! She had such a warm, friendly personality and handled the evening with so much grace. Since it was our first visit, she took time to walk us through the menu and made great recommendations that turned out spot-on.
Now, let’s talk food, “Wow.” The soft bread alone could’ve been my whole dinner; it was that good. I practically filled up on it before my entrée even arrived! I ordered the Grilled salmon salad, and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked — flaky, flavorful, and just right. The salad itself was crisp, fresh, and colorful. Light but satisfying, and every bite was worth it. And that house sauce? Freaking delicious. I could’ve bottled it up and taken it home!
I did notice one other waitress who wasn’t as smiley, but with how steadily busy it was, I completely understand, it looked like one of those nights where everyone was focused on keeping things running smoothly. Meanwhile, the lady who smiled and greeted us kindly throughout the evening turned out to be Kennedy, the manager. Her warmth felt genuine and made us feel welcome without her even needing to say much. And to top it all off, the owner, Mike, personally came by to welcome us and share a few of his favorite menu picks. That personal touch truly made the evening special.
All in all, Olive Tree gave us a wonderful first impression, delicious food, genuine hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to come back. We’re so glad Mom finally said, “Let’s go.” Because now? We’ll definitely be going again.
I also read a negative review complaining that the restaurant wouldn’t give samples, and honestly, that kind of review feels like blackmail and a disgusting misuse of the review system. Restaurants shouldn’t be pressured like that, and it certainly doesn’t reflect the quality of this place.
