Keep It Cute
We took a group of seniors to this place, and honestly it was terrible. The waitress had a terrible attitude when any of the ladies asked for refills of anything. Then the food was absolutely atrocious. Extremely bland and some of it was hard; not very hot.The ones that got stuffed french toast loved it. The tables were dirty as well. We’ve unanimously decided not to ever come back to this place. Do yourself a favor and don’t bother.

My Wife and I came back after the new ownership and all we can say is Wow. The service is top notch and the food was great. We walked right in and had a seat and was greeted by the nicest lady. Very enjoyable and the prices are fantastic.

I give this place zero stars and warn any person of color that you are not welcomed there. I went to this place with a group of friends for brunch because we hadn’t seen each other in some time. We arrived at 1114am and placed our order about 10 mins after our arrival. Granted we were a bit chatted but nothing rude or out of hand considering our ages ranged from 42 to 75. It was four of us all female 2 black and 2 white. As I stated we placed our orders about ten minutes after we got there but for some reason we watched about five groups of people, parties ranging from groups of 6 to 2 come in well after we ordered. They came they ordered they ate they left. An hour later still no food. We asked the waitress why we haven’t received or food she said she would go check but when she went behind the counter she said we would receive our food whenever it comes up. We complained and we even asked the other waitress what’s going on as there were only the 2 of them and got no answer. Now we coming up on 1.5 hours later we finally told them we no longer wanted the food and magically here it comes. We refused the food but the only reason we sat there so long is because we were getting caught up with one another and trying to think positive about the situation. After noticing that every person that came through the door was white and received service while we sat there receiving none it was clear that it was our color that stopped us from getting our food. No explanation no apology nothing from the manager nor the wait staff. 10 out of 10 stay far away from this place or you may receive something indescribable in your food. Worst service in the history of service! This is the year 2023 and this is still happening right here in St John. Just go down the street to the Omelette house and receive great food and great service.

Had a chorizo burrito with hash browns and a cup of coffee. Burrito was quite good and plenty of it. It did take much longer to be served than I thought it should. I asked for crispy hash browns which did not happen. I am pretty certain they have no idea how to do it. I informed the server, she did offer to take them back but I was half done eating by the time she came back to ask the food was.poor job of keeping filled. I was also at a table too close to their work area which is very noisy because they throw things into metal and I don’t think they have a clue how loud and interrupting to their patrons it is. Coffee was ok, not a rich flavor.

Maybe a 2 1/2 star. Must have been an off day because I’ve only heard great things about this place. My sister ordered breakfast, they forgot part of her meal. I ordered the senior lunch, which I thought was $8.00, but was charged $10..maybe the prices went up. My pop was flat, and they nicely replaced with iced tea, the lemon rice soup was so thick My spin stood up in it. I got two tiny chicken tenders, which were good, as was the baked potato, but the broccoli spear was tasteless and hard. Hopefully it was just an off day .
