We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Just a short walk away from where we were. We’d made a reservation beforehand as we’d been advised to. Lovely space. Beautiful decor. Can accommodate groups of all sizes. There were two large groups sat in the main area but there were still lots of tables and spaces for smaller groups and couples. We were looked after by Shannon who was very welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive from the moment we sat down till when we left. She recommended the Oriecchiete main served with shaved Beef tips which I’d never had befoe but definitely will be in future! Great restaurant which I would recommend to anyone!

It was a bit of a mixed experience for me.

The service and atmosphere were great. It was lively, warm, and clearly one of the local favourites. The space has a lot of charm and history, and it’s an easy place to settle into for a relaxed meal.

Food-wise, it didn’t fully land for me this time though honestly, we might’ve ordered the wrong things. I’d still be open to giving it another try if I’m back in the area.

We had a table of 6, food was excellent. Service was just ok. My daughter asked for the wine menu, that took a long time to get, when she ordered a drink, it took a long time to get as well. When we looked around, our server was cleaning up a table instead of getting her a drink. He was uninterested in us being there. Everyone has a one off.

We passed by the old winery restaurant for lunch and absolutely loved the food here. Starting with the soup of the day – it was rich, earthy and delicious. The salad was incredible as well – a great balance of sweet and tang of the goat cheese.

For our mains we were recommended the gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese sauce. Quite a rich dish but incredibly delicious. The wood fired pizza was incredible too with a thin crust and generous toppings. We noted that the ingredients were all very fresh.

We enjoyed it so much here I wanted to come back for lunch the next day! Give this place a try – you won’t regret it.

Lemme get the good stuff out first.
The good is damn good. Chicken in prosciutto is sex on your tongue. The salmon has a zest that brings life back to the fish. The pizza melts in your mouth but not before melting your tastebuds first.
And then there was the awkward moment when the staff leads you and your family away from the busy area to another dealthy silent section of the restaurant. We all looked around and wondered why we were put here when there were all those empty tables in the main room.
We asked to be moved and that was that. Put a dent in an otherwise spectacular dining experience.

Had a lovely dinner and both the service and food were great. Hubby and I shared the calamari as an appetizer and had the beef short ribs and Cabernet pizza for our mains – everything was delicious although I found the calamari slightly overcooked. We’ll definitely be back in the near future.

I tried their Orecchiette pasta and it was really good! The texture was perfect and the flavours were well-balanced comforting yet full of taste. The portion was just right, and the service was friendly.

We enjoyed a delicious meal at the old winery restaurant. I’m not sure which of the two dining rooms houses the most upscale eating area. I thought it was the pub like room and my wife thought it was the one that we ate in which is a different room altogether. It just goes to show.

The ambiance was wonderful. The food was nice and tasty. The service was good and attentive to our needs.

We enjoyed ourselves very much.

A solid place for Italian food without being outstanding. We visited out of season and it was relatively quiet, although we had the impression that our service was a little slow. We went for a shared pizza and salad combo and while I enjoyed the pizza, the Cesar salad was very middle of the road with packet croutons. Our group also went for pasta dishes and there was generally positive feedback on them, including the gnocchi and beef tip pasta. For dessert, definitely go for the house made options. We had a mix and you can definitely tell the difference – in our case, the creme brule and lemon ricotta cheesecake were very good.
