The service was seriously lacking, not unkind, but very inattentive and lacked the attention to detail. For example, when the table ordered the salads and mains, 2 of the 3 people received their salad, the server said the 3rd will be right out, then when the others were almost done with their salads I was finally able to catch the server and enquire about the 3rd salad. I ended up telling him to forget it since the mains, I would think, were about to arrive. The server did bring me the salad, and they comped it, but kind of surprisingly, the ceasar was really not good, tasted cheap and was a bit soggy (I was unaware you could screw up a ceasar salad).
The limeade was fun with the cotton candy on top, but the drink itself was very artificial and very sweet and sour. The other food was fine, but nothing was really that good.
I really don’t like leaving bad reviews, but overall this was a pretty disappointing experience. I really wanted a nice family meal like I remember having with my parents. It seems as though I will need to look elsewhere for building experiences.

A Heartbreaking Final Visit: When Nostalgia Meets Corporate Neglect
My husband and I returned for “Round 2,” hoping our previous experience was an outlier. We were seated promptly for our 6:45 PM reservation in the trolley. Our server was the highlight of the evening. She was personable, professional, and genuinely doing her best.
Unfortunately, the quality of the establishment did not match the quality of her service. Once again, the silverware was visibly dirty and required replacement. Which is a basic health and hospitality standard that continues to be missed.
As for the meal, the decline since our last visit was sharp. My mushroom ravioli arrived cold to the touch, and both our minestrone soups were nearly devoid of broth. We chose not to send the food back, not because we were satisfied, but because we had already reached a point of finality. When a meal reaches a certain level of poor execution, you stop asking for fixes and simply decide not to return.
What hurts most is the lack of professional follow-through. Despite previous feedback, management never reached out to “we can address your concerns more personally” as promised. The generic and corporately polished responses seen on Google Reviews feel like a script designed to pacify rather than a genuine commitment to improvement.
I grew up frequenting the Concord, CA location. The Old Spaghetti Factory was a staple of my childhood. To say goodbye to this brand feels like losing a piece of family history. However, kind servers cannot compensate for systemic management failures and poor kitchen standards.
We enjoyed our spumoni one last time, took a warm loaf of bread to go, and closed the chapter on this restaurant for good.

In my opinion, the food is not worth the wait. My husband made a 7pm reservation for my birthday and we were not seated until 10 minutes after 8pm.
Because we had so much time, we reviewed the menu and knew what we wanted when we finally got to a table. So we ordered everything with the waitress from the moment she approached (after 15ish minutes of waiting). I also noted that the silverware was dirty and needed to be replaced.
It took another 30 minutes to see food and it was okay but not worth all the waiting (especially considering we had a reservation). The spumoni was the best part of the experience.
No one acknowledged my birthday, despite my husband sneaking off to notify the hostess.
We had to rush to eat our food because we had plans at 9pm. I thought for sure that a 7pm reservation would give enough room for both but not at this establishment.
The atmosphere is beautiful but does not counter the other issues.
