The rolls are very fluffy. Shrimp was cooked beautifully. Wonderful vinegrett. I Thought fries would be homemade, but they are frozen. Unique atmosphere, like an upscale steakhouse. Loud enough, you can take kids and not have to apologize casual enough you can do a weekly family meet-up but fancy enough you won’t be out of place when you put on your Sunday best.

Excellent food and service, and it’s actually an old schoolhouse, and I like what they did with the place. We started off with the deep fried deviled eggs, and oh boy are they delicious. For dinner my wife had the salmon with lemon caper sauce, and she really enjoyed it. I had the shrimp and grits, and I must say I was very impressed. Looking forward to going back to enjoy something different.

It’s literally an old schoolhouse… One that I had driven by for years and lamented that noone was doing anything with it. The atmosphere is nice but relaxed. There was quite the crowd there, but with reservations, we were seated immediately. The service was top notch, and the food was pretty amazing. We started off with the Bangkok shrimp appetizer. It was delish. I had the Parmesan crusted grouper ( pictured ) and my friends each had crab cakes and a filet. All the food was very good. We fished off the meal with a fried Oreo to celebrate my friends bday. All in all, 10 out of 10, highly recommend. We will be back!

Amazing food and wonderful staff. The only issue is they tend to get busier than their chef and kitchen staff are able to prepare for in a timely manner, so just be prepared to spend some time there.

Location is wrong. This was Matthew’s Oak and Hickory BBQ in Saluda, SC. This was a buffet. The food was really good. The hash, pulled pork, and fried chicken were the only foods that were hot, though. The livers and Mac and Cheese were luke warm. The wings were barely bigger than my thumb. I barely eat veggies, so I can’t comment on them.

The food was great. My husband and I have had two occasions to eat here recently. I had the hamburger steak with mushrooms and gravy, and on a filet topped with bleu cheese. My husband had the shrimp and grits and the ribeye steak. He commented that the ribeye was the best he has had in a long time. The stack of fried green tomatoes and the crispy candied brussel sprouts were great as our appetizers. For dessert, we had the brownie bar and the cheesecake. Both were a nice finish to our meals.

Great place to eat. Wonderful food that’s not the run of the mill same ole same ole stuff you get a a lot of places. You can go wrong eating here. Great atmosphere with very friendly staff. Just make a reservation before you go.

Owner was rude and did not even try to rectify an issue with my food. Food was cold and unappetizing as it tasted as though it had sat in a warming area while waiting as other entrees for my party were prepared. When I told my waitress who took the food back, the owner returned with the same food, telling me how it was freshly battered and cooked to order so I wasn’t telling the truth… concluded by asking me did I want it or not. Never returned to rectify. I was embarrassed and insulted, 2 feelings I try to generally avoid when giving my hard-earned money to people …

Stopped in about 6 on a Saturday on the way from Greenville to North Augusta. The place was packed, and we got the last table (reservations are recommended). K got salmon, I had steak with mushrooms and gravy; both were excellent. The house salad was a surprise with a lot of veggie goodies and some boiled egg. Broccoli was steamed just right. Service was quick and pleasant. It was a little loud, with family-sized tables and a full house. Really surprised to find such a nice restaurant in Chapelles, the boonies between Saluda and Laurens SC.
