We decided to try a new bar for our anniversary. I saw the Facebook post advertising a Valentine’s Day dinner. We reserved a table, the service at the table was fantastic. Multiple people checked in to see how we liked our food. The prime rib dinner with the lobster tail was fantastic. The pop overs were amazing! We got complimentary champagne and a rose!! We stayed for a drink after, my only note was I felt the bartender could have acknowledged us. Even a quick “hey I’ll be right with you”. Overall a great experience.

Tonight was my first visit to The Old Rock for Friday fish. I have to say it’s the best I’ve had in quite some time. The serving of food could have fed two people. Not only the biggest pieces of walleye in the county, also the best potato pancakes I’ve eaten in years. Service was fast and professional, nice clean bar and restaurant area. Definitely my new go to! Thanks for everything! Excellent meal and customer service!

We have been here a few times and most recently today for the broasted chicken. Each time we’ve been here, the food and service have been outstanding. Food is fantastic but I wanted to start with the service. We had 3 different people come by to ask how things were and if we needed anything. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. Now on to the food. We both had the broasted chicken dinner and it was fantastic. In earlier visits we’ve had burgers and prime rib. All are very good. For the quality of the food and service, I think the pricing is very reasonable. Cocktails are good as well and they give you a good pour. Well worth the drive.

I should’ve left a review for this place after the first time we were here because I love this place so much. The food here NEVER disappoints. Not ever! They have great specials, tonight we had the boneless wings and prime rib stew, the sauce on the wings (whiskey BBQ) had excellent flavor and the stew was AMAZING, I had only ordered a cup of it and I wished I had gotten a bowl lol! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the place is homey and tastefully decorated, the servers are friendly and on top of things, the owners are super nice, and there’s always plenty of people here. If you happen to be in this area I highly recommend stopping in for a bite!

Friday night fish fry. Very busy. Recommend reservations or it will be a wait. Quite a few options for fish. The parmesan crusted fish was excellent and the deep fried cod was good. Nice selection of tap beer and cocktails.

We’ve been twice for breakfast with excellent food. The first time we came and the server was very informative. We were told kids eat free for breakfast and on Wednesday. We have young children so they usually share a plate anyways but really nice for parents to help reduce the cost. I asked for a bloody mary and was walked through the body mary bar. We left really happy.
This time i was just given a bloody mary with toppings i personally do not like… but i had been expecting to put my own on. Lots of people had ordered a bloody mary and the server just made all of them. Even though we walked in and saw the bloody mary bar with toppings we thought maybe there was something wrong and they weren’t using it?! Then a couple people came in who obviously used the bar so we don’t understand why we weren’t offered that. Then the really frustrating part. We were charged for the 1 meal our children (3 and 5) shared which was just fine but then charged an extra fee for sharing a plate?!? There is no kids menu. Sorry we didn’t want to waste food.
There are only 3 regular table height tables, the rest are bar height. There was not enough seating for families with young children that can’t sit on bar stools. This did not effect is, but something to consider if you’re going.
We had also been given punch cards last time for each paid meal (so we have 2 punches). This time we paid for 3 full meals, got charged extra on one meal for being shared between young children and only were given 1 punch. There certainly is not consistent practices going on. We drove about 35 minutes out of our way to go again because of our first experience but have decided we will not be going back.

Great country bar and restaurant. Friendly staff and nicely decorated. The special bourbon smash burger really hit the spot. The owner greeted us and made us feel welcome. We will be back.

It was pretty busy when we went. 2:00 pm Sunday. We waited 20 min and were not offered drinks and our presence was not even acknowledged.
The food looked and smelled good. There was a sign up that said there was no table service order at bar. I waited and waited. It seemed like no one as really in charge.

Had boneless chicken “wings”, as they were out of bone in wings. Not impressed. Everyone else enjoyed their food. This is an amazing atmosphere bar/restaurant. I still recommend!
