Went there for the Sunday chicken dinner special I’d heard about. It did not disappoint! 4 pieces of delicious fried chicken, stuffing and mashed potatoes with white gravy, a soft dinner roll, and a bit of cranberry sauce for just $11. It was hot, filling, and tasted great. Excellent value! Everything else seems reasonably priced. The place was packed, but service was wonderful.

Been coming here for 35 yrs and never had issues until recently. My last 3 out of 4 times the service was bad and the food was worse. Last 2 burger baskets I ordered were supposed to be medium but were very black burnt and cold. It’s also frustrating ordering the same thing as others way before them but they get surved first. I might come back if things change

I stumbled upon this place while searching on Google and I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere is really unique with a great sense of history. It wasn’t overly crowded at the bar, but there was a steady stream of takeout orders — always a good sign! The bartenders were friendly, patient, and attentive, and the food was absolutely outstanding. Even with new cooks in the kitchen, everything came out fast, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommend!

First visit today. Tried the 6-wing special for $6.50—definitely jumbo-sized wings! My only (minor) complaint is that I asked for them well-done and crispy, but they came out not quite as crispy as I’d hoped. Still, they were very tasty. I also had a basket of fries, which were perfectly crispy—just how I like them (notice a trend?). Overall, great food, good atmosphere, and friendly service. I’ll very likely be back!

An Unforgettable Burger Experience
I wasn’t expecting to be this impressed by a bar burger, but what I ordered was nothing short of exceptional. My only complaint is now I have to watch my wallet to make sure I don’t go broke buying up all the burgers!! Oh and ITS HUGE! And for having no salt the fries were actually really good. (I’m not a fry fan normally) All in all I was highly impressed! And the cherry on top is how friendly and hospitality the staff is there. In an age where it’s hard to find decent service it definitely left a lasting impression! Thank you

We both had the steak sandwich and I had fries and my wife had onion rings. All of it was excellent including the old fashioneds. We will definitely be back. Next time Fish fry.

Absolutely terrible experience will not be going back. Called in a takeout order for 2 chicken tender bowls, was told 5:20 pickup. Arrive at 5:20 waited 10 minutes to be handed the wrong order. I let them know that wasn’t what I ordered I was told my payment was going to be voided and they were putting the new order in and it would take 10 minutes. Then after a few minutes they handed me a new full bill and said that’s now what I owed. I asked if there was anything they could do to lower my bill since it was due to somebody else’s error, they came back and told me $1 which is insulting. Then said I was insulting them because I said my order was wrong. The “manager” came out and said they can’t do anything more than $1 because they can’t give free food every time somebody complains. I understand they maybe can’t do the full meal as free but to be so insulting and rude because YOU messed up is wild and we will not be returning. It’s a shame because we used to enjoy ordering and drinking at the Old Grog.

Awful customer service. Food thrown on table. Waiter sitting around, had to go up four times to get my own drink and get my check. Waited 50 min for food and it was dead. Wings are gross. Photos of the pace and description are nothing in person
